I'll try to keep tabs on everything but let me know if there are any errors or price updates. And as a side note, I'm actually getting downvotes for this? I can't see how there could possibly be a sane explanation for that.

EDIT: Updated 7:00pm EST!! Let me know if there's anything you see and I'll put it in here!

EDIT: I've put everything new as of Jan 11, 4:00pm in bold. Also, check this post on RedFlagDeals for a great big list of deal

EDIT: Its all over everyhone. Hope you snagged something cool beyond bitter disappointment this year!**

If you need some ear buds, tell me a price range and I can help you out. I've been through a lot of models.

(edit) For about 100 US, you can get triple driver earbuds from 1More. (https://www.amazon.com/1MORE-Headphones-Earphones-Compatible-Microphone/dp/B01KB9K9Z0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1511462638&sr=8-3&keywords=1more%2Btriple%2Bdriver&th=1) I don't recommend the quad driver version... the extra money you pay does not translate into better quality sound. In fact, most people think they sound worse. With the earbuds you get a lot of rubber and foam fittings, so you can pick your fit. I prefer flat response sound, whether over the ear or in an earbud. If you're looking for good sound on the cheap in an over the ear headphone, Skull Candy Hesh 2 Wireless (can also use them wired,) are excellent for the money. They're a bit open, so others can hear loud music if you've got them up enough. Both of these products are also good for webex, Skype, etc., and I use them constantly for that.

If you are wanting to spend a lot more money, I would recommend one of the Shure earbuds, triple driver or higher. But those will cost you 300 and on up. I've heard the Miles Davis earbuds and I heard things that I've never heard before out of old tracks.

That being said, I'm hearing things I have never heard before in my 1More triple drivers as well.

Final point - I prefer noise isolation instead of noise cancelling. First, the noise isolation builds are a little cheaper, and noise isolation devices tend to be better at blocking out unexpected sound. If you're on an airplane, noise cancellation is great. But, if you want to ignore the fire drill, noise isolation is better.

Bose Quiet Comfort earbuds are quite good, but I like the sound profile of my current earbuds more. Jaybird makes good equipment as well, especially if you're looking to get wireless earbuds. You just won't get a dual or triple driver earbud that way. Still, the sound is good from both Bose and Jaybird (X and X2.)

I don't like Beats products because they're so bass-heavy. I can adjust my phone or laptop to equalize for more bass if I want it, and my earbuds really have a nice boom to them. But I don't need that on every track. Mozart's Salzburg Symphonies weren't meant to make people twerk.

Android takes a little getting used to but you'll see that you can do sooo much more out of the box.
Get familiar with the 2nd screen as it's a big help. It takes a bit of time to get used to it... I sometime forget it's there and still unlock to skip songs and whatnot. You can set different apps for shortcut, a set of setting, music controls, etc. If you're sticking with LG's home screen then go settings>home screen>select home screen and choose Home & app drawer to have the way Android was meant to be used XD. The factory style gives more of an iOS feel with all apps on the home screen which to me is a lot of clutter. I have Nova paid (aka prime) and haven't switched to it yet...
Headphones... get a good pair to take advantage of the HiFi DAC. Good pair doesn't mean high impedance or pricey. I use Meze 12 Classics and they sound so freaking good with this phone! They're also sexy af imo lol They'll set you back $59 which to me is a good price point for everyday use IMEs. Another that is being recommended a lot are the 1More Triple Driver IMEs. These set you back $89. The HiFi DAC only works with wired headphones...in case you didn't know.
Another thing to consider is either getting LG's battery pack and cradle combo or a battery pack. I have Anker's 10000mah QC 3 battery pack and it gives me around 3 charges on my V20. Prefer this to be taking off the case, cover, swapping batteries and putting everything back together -___-
That brings us to cases... get one ASAP if you haven't already. There's a lot of choices out there. I have the Spigen Tough Armor with kickstand and it's been great. Sleek and the kickstand is pretty functional with my only gripe with it being plastic....Spigen, Rinke and Urban Armour are three of the most recommended cases. Check reviews and pick the one that best suites your needs. Haven't gotten a screen protector as of yet... there hasn't been one that covers the whole screen or wraps around the edges with the V20 having a slight curved screen.

Another thing I always do is settings>fingerprint and security>unknown sources to On. This will let you install apps out of the play store.

Also, Reddit is a great community to get good and quick answers.

FYI - Links provided above for the things I recommended on Amazon.

u/joeTaco · 8 pointsr/Android

I agree and I don't even go as fancy as you with my earphones. I have this $90 pair of wired earphones and they sound fantastic to me, yet they're cheap enough that I won't be too sad if I lose or break them. I tried this $150 pair of Bose wireless buds, some of the more expensive widely available wireless ones; and I ended up returning them because sound quality was noticeably worse than my 1mores, the fit was crap, and the mic was so poor-quality as to be absolutely useless.

u/ShinjoB · 3 pointsr/drums

I don't think this is weird at all. When I switched from electronic drums to acoustic I knew I had to protect my ears, but it meant I could no longer hear the band ... kind of a big deal.

It cost a bit of money to fix it, but I basically mic'd my drums, got a mixer (make sure it has plenty of inputs), and started running everything into my mixer (drums, vocals, bass and even guitars). I can control the level in my ears via the mixer's monitor controls and then output everything to the PA.

This is what I bought. It's definitely lower end of the quality spectrum, but it was the cheapest way to get myself rolling. We don't gig (yet) so everything stays in one place ... which means I don't really have to worry about the durability of this stuff yet.

u/Surfac3 · 2 pointsr/headphones

So I've been looking for a good pair of headphones that are louder than what I currently have. I use a pair of Bose wireless sounds sports and while I love how much passive noise isolation they have they just aren't loud enough for me. Idk what it is about Bluetooth headsets just not being loud enough, I've tried 2 or 3 pairs and am looking into wired headphones as I think it's the only way I'll find what I'm looking for.

I need something that is loud but defined, has oomph in the bass without much sacrifice to other sound and can stand up to some abuse and are preferably workout safe. If they aren't workout safe (I.e. water/sweat resistant) it isn't a deal breaker it just means I'll use my sounds sports for working out and my wired ones for general use (chores, relaxing, reading etc). I just want to be able to have the music so loud I can't even think. A remote isn't necessary but would be nice.

I listen to alot of electronic, edm, techno, dubstep, dance/trance as it helps me focus and stay on task so that's what I would be using these for mainly. I also listen to rock, alt, hip hop rap etc. Pretty much anything besides country tbh. But I am very partial to bass heavy music.

I'm currently looking into these two pairs of sonys

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NBMI5X8/

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FJISZFK/

And these decibullz

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00L1TI4F2/

I know this may be somewhat low-end compared to some of the stuff posted here. But i was hoping /r/headphones could help me find what I'm looking for. As for price range anything up too 200 is fine and I'd only be willing to go above that if they are going to blow me away.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Edit: some others I'm looking into

And these even though are wireless I've read are very good but I'm wary of actual volume/bass due to Bluetooth. https://www.amazon.com/Apollo-Erato-Audio-Bluetooth-Earphones/dp/B01KVAJ2FW/

u/AbundantToast · 2 pointsr/headphones

Thanks for the fast reply, they look great!

I'm quite a headphone noob - how would they compare to the two I listed?

Edit: Just noticed there is a triple driver version that aligns a bit more with my price range, unless the upgrade is incredibly worth it.

Triple Drivers

u/Int21h · 2 pointsr/lgv20

I just picked up some of these:

https://www.amazon.com/1MORE-Headphones-Earphones-Compatible-Microphone/dp/B01KB9K9Z0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1485967039&sr=8-1&keywords=1more&th=1

They sound at least as good as my B&W C5s. They are not super bass heavy, but have some good thump and really clear highs.

They have them on Costco's site for $20 less than amazon as well.

u/Austinpb1 · 2 pointsr/GalaxyNote8

I bought these in April and love them, great sound quality for all types of music.
They come with a bunch of accessories too so it's not like you are just paying for headphones and a couple bud sizes

u/Sabbatean · 2 pointsr/lgv30

Spec. The more drivers the better. See below. Now these are crap compared to the cans other people were posting for hundreds of dollars but i was happy with these for the cost.

I'm assuming you want the same style of headphone, not full size ones.

$70 1more dual drivers - these used to be cheaper...

$95 1more triple drivers

$350 FLC8s with red/black/gold filters

You can't go wrong with either one of these:

  • 1More E1001-SV1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear Headphones

  • the Audiophile Elite

I own both, they're fantastic and under $100. The latter option is amazingly good if you are on a budget. TBH I thought they were going to suck due to the price range, boy I was wrong. The construction is solid, they sound pretty good and I would dare to say, maybe on par with my ATH m40x if it wasn't for my sound card.

The first one is still under $100 and is a moderate bump, superior than my ATH m40x and now my main ones . The sound is rich and crystal clear, less bass heavy yet moderate for the music we listen to.

I assume that people who use POCO will also have tight budget. SoundMagic E10C is one of the best bang for your buck in-ear headphone at around $35, 1More triple driver is next on the list with heftier price tag at under $80. There are plenty of review for these two so don't for get to check it out yourself.

TL;DR: Which in-ear headphones are preferred for CSGO?

___

I use G933 & I am happy with them, but I also want a solid in-ear headphone that has a decent mic on them.

During some of the LAN tournaments, I noticed that Razer Hammerheads are popularly utilized under bulky isolation headphones. But are there other option without obnoxious colors?

I own 1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear Earphones, but the mic picks up excessive background noise while I'm trying to make callouts in-game, (most likely b/c it doesn't have specific software driver to handle audio-input).

Are these 1More Triple Driver In-Ear Headphones worth it? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KB9K9Z0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_SICvybHVXVAJ2

I plan on using these also with my ATH-M50x's as a counterpart for use outside of the house (at school). I was looking for a similar sound to my M50x's in the form of an IEM under $100 and these seem to be the best bang for your buck value.
