For a glass pipe you want a "glass pipe screen". You can use metal ones but I would advise against them.

I'm glad you're the OP because I'm baked and forgot how to pm someone, and I wanted you to see this. I just had a thought of something that would solve this problem for you. If you don't want to spend any money, a small pebble will do the job just fine.

Those are glass "jack" or "flower" screens for a (weed) pipe or bong slide. Better than metal screens, more easily cleaned and clog less. The silicone container is usually used to store cannabis concentrates.

I believe they're called glass filters. They look like 4-5 tiny little glass beads joined together in a floral formation. They're designed to be used with the snap bong bowls that are practically tubes where your weed will just fall through. My thought is that if you put one in a regular bowl, it will just take up some space and work like normal.

Also, they're cheap as hell. I'll see if I can find some online.

Don't go overboard. Just buy a $10-20 spoon pipe, a nice grinder(this and this are both good ones in different styles), and an eighth of some good weed. Don't go overboard immediately. If you want a bong just get it off DHgate or bongoutlet.ca (most of the bongs you'll find in headshops are the same exact pieces for 500% more). If you want to get a vape the Arizer solo is amazing for $120 and the MFLB is decent for $80. Since it's a legal state there's really no reason to bother with joints unless you really like them. Any papers / grinders / rollers you can get on amazon really cheaply.

Also get some of these screens for the bowls, they basically stop all weed from getting sucked in

The screens are great at keeping your piece really clean, especially if you have a bong or bubbler. I started using screens when my piece broke like your gf's did, but I use them now in every piece I own.

It's an all natural cleaner, best I've ever used. After you've used a screen for a couple days and it gets gunky, just toss it in a shot glass with this cleaner. After a week or two, after you've gone through ~10-15 screens, dump the cleaner back into the bottle (it's reusable, like 20x or more reusable) and the screens are clean as when you bought them. It works on pipes, too. Just pour it in at night, and dump it out the next morning, and you piece will be perfectly clean. It's a little expensive, but like I said, it's reusable. I'm a heavy smoker, and I've been using the same bottle for almost a year now.
