You can make a ton of freezer and crock pot meals, so your wife only has to pop something in the oven, microwave, or crock pot.

I buy a 60 pack of eggs, hard boil 30 at a time and peel them, and pop two eggs in each bento box, and the rest go in a container in the fridge for noshing. The rest go into a casserole or two that I whip up (this one sound weird but is AMAZING) and then it's just what goes into the last little hole- a treat, or some fruit or veggies.
Whole thing including cleaning the kitchen after? 5 hours, for a weeks worth of breakfasts and dinners.
So then your nursing wife will have easy to grab and go food, and you can tweak it to add things that are good for nursing Moms, like oatmeal cookies and stuff that supports lactation.
Then there is ZERO reason to have your inlaws around.

These on amazon. They have some with different number of compartments. They hold up just fine in the microwave and lids fit on very secure.
I use these and they work perfectly, haven't had any issues what so ever I do hand wash them rather than toss them in the dishwasher I'm sure they'd be fine but better to be safe than sorry.

Lol girl it's kind of a fluke. I was just going to try it (plant based) for a little while and just haven't eaten meat again yet😂 I'm eating a plant based pescatarian diet. So, fruits, veggies, grains, and some fish and seafood. I'm trying not to be super strict and if I want meat, I'll eat it...I just haven't wanted it yet 😞
I do make my own hummus with dried or canned beans but that's because I don't like soy oil.

The wife and I got something similar to these off Amazon. Being so cheap, if they started to absorb odors, crack, etc... We'd just rotate them out.
