The microphone stand adapter can easily be removed. The base of the microphone has a 1/4"-20 female thread mounting hole that can be connected to a hot-shoe adapter or used to mount directly onto a tripod or grip handle.The 3Dio FS contains a 9V alkaline battery within the chassis. The battery is used to power the microphone capsules and lasts 300+ hours of continuous use.
