This article is terribly superficial. I take issue with the author's comment on the Twiddler 2:

It is unfortunate that the hand in the photograph is tensed. The author lacks the insight to see that this keyboard actually relieves stress on the hand. It is the only keyboard on the page that allows the hand and arm to remain in the naturally relaxed position: arms hanging down at side, hands and wrist relaxed, fingers curled inward.
In comparison, the SafeType keyboard relieves only the rotation of the forearm. It still requires bending of the elbows and extension of the fingers.
The purpose of these keyboards is not WPM but ergonomics. The author says that the FrogPad "wins the round" against the Twiddler 2 based on speed of typing alone. This is riduclous. Any user with repetitive stress injury or carpal tunnel syndrome from using a traditional keyboard will find some relief in the Twiddler2, while the FrogPad may be more painful to use than a regular keyboard.
If you're looking for a "wierd" mouse that can correct many mousing-induced pains, please try the 3M Ergonomic Mouse. I highly recommend this mouse. I'll never buy another traditional wrist-twister mouse again.

I'm waiting for a five button chorded keyboard to become available. For now I make do with a MS Natural Elite.
I know this is a bit tangential, but a few years ago I broke my right hand (one of the bones between the wrist and the base of the finger) but couldn't work without using a mouse. I ended up buying one of these and could use it while my hand was in a cast and even raided in WoW with it.

If you have a computer place nearby or work with an occupational therapist perhaps ask them for help. There are joystick options, some ergonomic mice may fit your hand more easily. Lots of stuff with non-traditional shapes. I searched for joystick mice on amazon and came up with lots of different stuff.

I use a combination of different ergonomic mice, I switch between this joystick style mouse and an Evoluent VerticalMouse on my right hand, and at work I use a left-handed vertical mouse. For keyboards I use the Microsoft Sculpt at work and a corsair K65 with cherry mx red mechanical buttons at home. I also wear copper compression gloves which helps ease the pain after.
The thing I wish I had done earlier was just to address it all a lot sooner. It's easier to prevent than to treat. You could probably invest $200 and prevent long term pain. Also try using your weak hand for mousing at work so the load is split evenly. It takes time but you do eventually get good at it.
I found dis: flat ; joypad-like and dis (most common "ergonomic" form-factor: colleagues have those and seem statisfied; no idea how well you can game with them though)

The hand angle and wrist wrest seemed better suited towards moving with your arm. I'm not sure how well they'll slide, though, or if they have a decent sensor.

They do and most are horrible. We "standardized" for our Ergo option on the Logitech M570 awhile back but a few people didn't like it. So we were asked to try other things. We purchased the Kensington Export Mouse Trackball along with a bunch of other ones. All bad all around.

These things (link) are amazing for hand pain, I used to get acute pain in my index finger but not a peep since switching to the above.
I'll have to mark you down as an anomaly. Good luck with your company and your future coding endeavours. However, do try to remember that health is also wealth as I don't imagine your body appreciates 20 hours of coding straight ha.
