If anyone is interested in this style of pack, I would recommend the rush series by 5.11.

They're a bit pricier, but made better than the red Rock packs (which I have also owned). the rush series use 1000D nylon, ykk zippers, and many other BIFL perks.

I currently own the rush 12 and rush 72, with the rush 24 being a perfect middle ground

I own, and would recommend the Rush 24 from 5.11 tactical (around 100$ at the right places) it might have to much of a military-look for your taste, but it has a tonne of great features, is very durable and very fairly priced (compared too similar bags). It is very roomy and the zippers can go all the way down so you can put things in the back easier (and actually 'pack' your bag instead of just shoving everything in with force. It has 2 main compartments and a compartment for a camelbak if you wanted to drink from that. It has other small pockets and a pocket lined with some soft material for your cellphone. It also molle webbing at the back if you want to hang things on it.

It is very durable too. But you can look up reviews online and see how it works and what kind of features/pockets and straps it has.

5.11 Rush 24? Or if that's too big, then its little brother the Rush 12. Not the prettiest looking, but it's rugged.

5.11 Rush Backpack. It has a bit of a tactical feel to it but if that's your taste, it's awesome. I have the Rush 12 but can imagine that a 24 would be more suitable for your usage.

I bought a 5.11 Tactical Rush 24 for airsoft and convention swag-hauling. The ability to carry volume as well as a hydration bladder was a must for me. Later on I got into photography and started using it as a camera bag because I was too cheap to do otherwise.

The pack has been saddled on each side with the Hazard 4 Jelly Roll to carry extra lenses and an upright general purpose pouch (I think I have a Specter Gear pouch, but any MOLLE-compatible one will do). I have two external flashes stowed in the exterior compartment. My multitool is usually clipped onto one of the MOLLE straps on the shoulder straps and have other important bits for the shoot attached and dangling by carabiner.

Keep in mind that the material of the pack is rough and will scratch up your gear if you're not careful. I actually want to look at inserts to better protect my camera. If I ever upgrade from my Nikon D5100, I'll be looking for a new camera-centric bag.

5.11 24 hour rush pack. Had mine for 6 years and it will undoubtedly last me at least 10 more.

I carry my clothes, shoes, hygiene products, wrist wraps, headphones, notebook, weighted pull up belt, and have room for all of that 2x over. More compartments and pockets than I will ever use at the size of a normal backpack

If you're talking about this listing http://www.amazon.com/5-11-Tactical-Rush-Back-Pack/dp/B005AG3R8Q on the first image.

That is not the same pack, and it doesn't even look like a Rush24

Edit: I've gotten some messages, at the time there was a non-5.11/amazon seller that had the title and off brand product on there. It was listed at 79.95. So back off with your pitch forks.
