this monitor or the LG?

u/Nimrodor · 4 pointsr/buildapcsales

How is this better than the Acer 144Hz 1440p 32" Curved VA monitor currently on Amazon for $330? The only notable difference I see is response time, but Acer is specced GtG while MSI is MPRT.

u/Cloud324 · 4 pointsr/buildapcsales

Asked this in the earlier post of this deal, so I will just copy and paste it:

So I'm having a hard time choosing between this monitor, and this Acer monitor on amazon. Earlier, the Acer was on sale for $300 and I just missed it before finally deciding to pull the trigger.

Is there a big enough difference to pick one over the other and wait, or are they both so similar that I should just get the best deal I can find on either?

Guys I need help before my impulse purchase urge goes away Viotek, acer, or Viewsonic ? I was about to get the viewsonic but i really doubt I'd even notice 1ms vs 4ms response times. And although I've never used a VA panel the contrast/color sounds really nice.

u/oofsadlad · 3 pointsr/buildapcsales

Is this monitor worth buying at this price?

Amazon has the Acer ED323QUR for $349 right now, pretty good srgb coverage and 1440p 144hz is right where the 2070 S wants to be for gaming.

I didn't add a monitor because I personally recommend this one:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DR5PG8S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_xbk2CbPVEW59M

The mouse and keyboard are personal preference but i just added them because why not.

This will all add up to be $2500

enjoy and best of luck.

This looks like the best priced 1440p 144hz monitor. It's curved, VA panel, and should be gsync compatible https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DR5PG8S/

u/thunderwizard44 · 1 pointr/buildapc

I've recently purchased the Acer ED323QUR. It's a huge curved monitor and the quality is amazing! It goes for around $300-$400. 144Hz, 1440p, and 32". The response time is at 4ms though and doesn't have G-Sync, instead it has FreeSync.

Amazon

u/EARTHB0Y · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

Very nice. That’s one of the ones I was looking at in my search as well. I ended up with the Acer ED323QUR because it was on sale for $300 last week. It’s VA and 4ms response but it sure beats the hell out of my 60Hz 1080p monitor. Now I just need a new gpu lol.

u/Naterz1416-01 · 1 pointr/buildapc

You are actually in the perfect camp to utilize a freesync monitor since you have a newer and CPU (linustech tips did a video on this) and I would go for a widescreen freesync monitor like this: https://www.amazon.com/Acer-ED323QUR-Abidpx-FREESYNC-Technology/dp/B07DR5PG8S/ref=mp_s_a_1_12?ie=UTF8&qid=1540004322&sr=8-12&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=acer+freesync+144hz

u/NorthStarPC · 1 pointr/buildmeapc

So this new build I came up with is towards the top of your budget. But this shit is extremely beautiful. 2080 Ti, Full RGB, OC'able, all complete with 2.5 TB of SSD storage.

CPU: https://www.newegg.com/amd-ryzen-7-3700x/p/N82E16819113567?Item=N82E16819113567

The Ryzen 7 3700X is an extremity of value and power. This processor can easily shred gaming tasks and can even handle heavy workstation. 8 Cores and 12 Threads give you a lot of space for multi-tasking, streaming, and editing.

GPU: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LDLQFDY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

How about a liquid-cooled GPU? The Gigabyte AORUS 2080 Ti Xtreme Water Force is a really beautiful and high-performing 2080 Ti. It is cooled by an included 240mm liquid AIO and will yield superb thermals compared to cheap base models. The 2080 Ti Xtreme will also add more RGB to your build.

RAM: https://www.amazon.com/Corsair-CMW32GX4M2C3200C16-Vengeance-PC4-25600-Desktop/dp/B07GTG2T7L/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=ddr4+3600+32gb&qid=1568075251&s=gateway&sr=8-2

Keeping the Corsair-based RGB theme. The Vengeance RGB is a very popular series of RAM, and it's hard to not see why. As Ryzen now supports native 3200MHz RAM clocks, there is no reason not to buy RAM faster than 3000MHz. This kit is also a 32GB Kit, which will be more than enough for gaming as well as excelling in any memory heavy tasks (Chrome...).

SSD(1): https://www.newegg.com/hp-ex950-512gb/p/N82E16820326205?Item=N82E16820326205

The EX950 is one of the fastest SSDs out there, at a very reasonable price. The EX950 will function as your primary boot drive.

SSD(2): https://www.newegg.com/intel-660p-series-2tb/p/N82E16820167461?Description=660p&cm_re=660p-_-20-167-461-_-Product

Why not go with pure SSD storage since you got a mighty budget? The 660p provides 2TB of fast storage at a decent price, definitely worth considering.

Motherboard: https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813144261?Item=N82E16813144261

The MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge motherboard is a great motherboard, with hundreds of positive reviews. It will allow for easy overclocking. It also features on board wifi, so no wifi card bullshit.

Power Supply: https://www.newegg.com/evga-supernova-750-g5-220-g5-0750-x1-750w/p/N82E16817438162?Item=N82E16817438162

As usual, it is EVGA stealing my recommendation as the PSU choice. The SuperNOVA 750 G5 is a very high quality PSU with Japanese capacitors as well as a ten year warranty. 750 is enough to power the system, even with the RTX 2080 Ti and the Ryzen 7 3700X at Overclocked or Boost speeds.

CPU Cooler: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JWB5BSN/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

The H100i will provide great thermals, even under OC temps. The H100i Platinum also features full RGB fans, which will sync with your motherboard, RAM, GPU, Case, and LL120s.

Fan: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075VDGSJ8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Nothing to explain here, just an extra fan to fill the 680X with all RGB fans.

Case: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MFR1VDN/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A1XBPHGHAXLHDG&psc=1

This case will certain look and work will with your build. The 680X has enough space to build in as well as above-average ventilation. The 680X also has three LL120 fans included, which will sync with your other components, read the reviews on Amazon.

Monitor (Suggestion): You need a decent monitor to take full advantage of the hardware, try a 144hz 2K monitor.

Well, its a solid choice at this price according to my research. Also this one is similar and even better price: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DR5PG8S

Both are solid choices, its just personal preference, I prefer samsung because I have a monitor that's 5+ years old and never gave me any problems.

My main display will be this monitor. Looking at the amazon Q&A, a few people said the Freesync worked well with it. Good to know. And I will be using the display port either way to support 144hz.
