Xi2 cutter, MTX Multi-Tool, and 9mm punch, all by Xikar. They’d be worth the price even without the warranty, but with it, it’s a steal. Not actually crazy about any of my lighters, though I do really like this Alec Bradley tabletop.

I just ordered this. If it works half as well as it looks I'll be happy. It can be had from Cigarbid for about half the price.

Basically a bunsen burner but you can actually set the flame really low and get a nice toast going. Huge full tank so you don't have to refill often.

It's not exactly pocket-friendly but if you're looking for a very soft flame experience you should check out the Alec Bradley "Burner" tabletop lighter.

Although technically one flame as it has only one primary fuel line, the way the dispersion screen on top works it's more like two dozen little flames all converging into one. Very soft, very diffuse. It's definitely on my Christmas list.

I love my Alec Bradley "The Burner". It holds a lot of butane and has a big soft flame. You have to be real careful with touch ups though. :)

EDIT: Doh I just saw you said you were going to buy a burner anyway... Well just make sure you purge all the gas and air out of it before you refill. I've heard of these things breaking it that purge isn't done properly.

yellow flame (candle).. no. lots of soot.

butane lighters offer a more focused flame, you get the most even heating. more control.

i have one of these.. dynavap, or dab rig - the flame is adjustable, and the tank is huge.

IH is hands down, game changer.

even heating.

don't need to pay attention (rotating tip over flame).

the major reason is convenience.

you forgot conduction...

..you don't use the cap at all..

you adjust the max temp with a knob.
