Reddit reviews Alfred Hitchcock: The Classic Collection Notorious / Rebecca / Spellbound [Blu-ray]

I got this set on sale on Amazon for $15, so I'd keep an eye on that if you want to own those movies. Unfortunately it's nowhere near as inclusive as a Criterion release, but at least the movies are all there together. I agree that more Hitchcock in the collection would be awesome. I mentioned it in the other Hitchcock related post earlier, but I really hope that the rumors about Criterion releasing Hitchcock's silent films in a box set are true.

Slightly off topic, but Notorious isn't on the nicely priced Hitchcock Masterpiece Collection, $44 for 14 films. It is on the more expensive 3-film set with Rebecca and Spellbound, $50 for 3 films, used.

Anyone know why that 3-film set is so pricy?

Oops. I misunderstood what specific editions you were talking about. I read your original post as the Masterpiece Collection and the CLASSIC Collection. The Essentials Collection contains identical remasters of a few of the films in the Masterpiece mastered by the same team. That being said. You NEED the Masterpiece Collection. And the Classic Collection fills in a few important gaps:
