i used this clay. I was told it would be safe to smoke from, but I haven't tried it yet

What are you doing with the clay? If you just want clay to play with you could consider using clay intended for pottery (even better if you have access to a kiln) It is sold in 50lb blocks for as little as $20. A local college with a ceramics program could likely direct you to a store in your area.

There is also air dry clay for a less than a dollar per pound. http://www.amazon.com/AMACO--Pound-Clay-Moist-Gray/dp/B0009RRTA8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1413925586&sr=8-1&keywords=amaco+clay

Hi.. So many people here who deserve it more than I do but if you happen to choose me this is what I'd love.

Several years ago I was studying to be an artist. Several difficult things happened and I became deeply depressed and stopped painting and sketching almost completely. After many years of inching my way out of that black hole I finally found myself in a place where I could create and try to rebuild my art skills back again. (they atrophied badly.) I've been wanting to start with clay as it's very therapeutic (smoosh!) and fun but can't currently. Like so many people I just can't afford anything but but the very very basics. :(

Whatever happens it's a kind offer thanks for putting a smile on my face.
