It's a start, but you should definitely work on cable management.
If your laptop is powering the screen, I would definitely get a laptop stand, something like

so that you can have your laptop around the same height as your monitor to use.
And I don't know if that's the optimal spot for the TV cause it's literally right up in your face.
I personally use 3 monitors at this point, 2 are identical and one is almost the same, for me it’s important they are the same my OCD gets to me if the screens don’t lineup with each other. If you buy a Dell your almost guaranteed even if that model is updated and you go back for #2 at a later date they will be very similar.
Don’t get caught up in the UHD 4K hype, the higher the resolution honestly of my 1440p ultra wide monitors isn’t very efficient for tax prep, there is a lot of horizontal space to cover from left to right, While they are very nice monitors, most tax software isn’t optimized to be run in such a wide window. A good deal on a very large ultra wide curved screen might be nice, using fusion pro to split into 2 monitors as previously mentioned.
If you only want to purchase one monitor now, I would recommend some sort of laptop stand like that In the link below, you can then use a wireless keyboard/mouse and line your laptop monitor up visually with the new monitor.

Laptop stands are pretty handy for this, my recent favorite is this one:

It's not adjustable at all, but since it doesn't have legs, you can slide very wide pieces of gear underneath.
Others like these are adjustable to any height and angle, but due to the legs, wide gear will not fit underneath in most cases:

There are of course proper multi-tier keyboard stands, multi-tier desks, those modular adjustable wire shelves... some people even use shoe racks.
About the same as mine. I was able to undervolt the CPU a bit to bring down temps, and I dropped the maximum processor state to 95%. The undervolt took off about 5c, and the 5% reduction in CPU speed (can't tell any difference, gaming or audio production) drops to about 77-80c under load.
The things that help the most is cool ambient temperatures (the room) and lifting the laptop up a bit so the fans can pull air in easier. Don't use a laptop "cooling pad" with fans because the fans on the bottom are intake, so blowing air into them creates negative pressure and could make it run hotter and the fans work harder. What do you mean by different places? I travel a lot for work (like almost weekly) and this combines a few different modes, car, train and plane. I'm working while on the road but I've realized that there are certain situations that not conducive to work so I don't do it. If I have a few hours in the airport for example, I don't code on gate seat, instead I go find workstations (many airports have them). I rarely code in a car, even on long drives (when I'm not driving) and trains/buses just make it impossible so I spend my time doing other work related stuff.
Honestly anything will work as long as it’s on an angle, I can see your on a budget so I chose the lower price but decent quality items. Though I personally would get the silver laptop stand as it’s much higher quality
