Amazon.ca has it listed at the same price now as well, $489.99 and free one day prime shipping where available. Can use ebates/gcr to bring it down a little more if you want to squeeze out the savings.

And Microcenter lets you save a farther $30 when bundling with a motherboard.

It isn't worth it at MSRP but it currently costs $329 on Amazon and includes 2x $60 games (although I believe outer worlds is on gamepass).

This 3800x is on a pretty good sale with 2 free games of Borderlands 3 and Outerworlds as well as 3 months of Xbox game pass. I picked up this deal on the Aorus elite mobo from newegg. Here is their RAM compatibility list for the mobo as well. Hope this helped :).

Just bought the AMD Ryzen 7 3800X https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SXMZLPJ/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 and am looking for a motherboard to go along with it. I'm ok with spending more for a premium higher end board but am still trying to save some money. I'm using ADATA NVME SSD's and a GTX1080TI What boards to yall recommend with this build?

I thought that but the order says "sold by: Amazon EU S.a.r.L".

Must be their own internal stock: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07SXMZLPJ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Thanks mate - a very interesting idea!

The difference in AMD vs Intel, price-wise, is not too big. I just checked and

Ryzen 3800x is £365 on Amazon

Intel I9 is £450 on Amazon

I think I can bridge the £90 gap. You advice, nonetheless, is very useful and puts things in perspective.

ShopBLT is legit, but note the fine print:

>This item is ordered from the manufacturer as needed. After you place your order, we will order it from the manufacturer. When it arrives into our warehouse, usually within 15 business days, we will fill your order and ship it to you.

That's also the tray SKU. You probably want the retail boxed version. However, those shipments are not expected to begin arriving to ShopBLT's warehouses until at least the end of the month.

If you want to get a 3800X before then, your best bet is to set up a notification alert on Now In Stock. However, be aware that NIS appears to be linking to the wrong Amazon product page. This is the correct one.

Alternatively, you can just buy a 3700X right now with Prime two-day shipping. It's actually so similar to the 3800X that the price premium for the latter is not easy to justify.

u/MaxWhineburg · 1 pointr/bapcsalescanada

If anyone is desperate, Amazon U.K. has the 3800x in stock; I priced it out as £ 342, which should be somewhere in the neighbourhood of $560-$565. Too much of a premium for my liking, and it'd be a gong show trying to deal with any return issues, but thought someone out there might want to jump on it.

Its better to build it yourself. That way you know to what quality it was built to and its cheaper.

Also do you need to go with Intel? Not only is it a couple generations old, but you could get a 3rd Gen Ryzen 6 core thats vastly faster and better for cheaper. If you wanted to go even faster and STILL have it cheaper you can get a Ryzen 8 core.
