I have Andews "An Introduction to Atmospheric Physics" in front of me right now. I do not see "correlation" mentioned anywhere on his chapter on atmospheric radiation. I do not even understand why he would have needed to put it in there.
You should be able to knock out a basic correlation from the online data using R Studio or hell slum it and use excel. How do you imagine such a basic calculation would be the subject of a paper published in something like Telus B or GRL?
Can you tell me which climatology or atmospheric physics text book you looked in. I will not be near a library for a while so cannot check them out but it I am curious at what you looked at for this and why.
