I have the AO Original Pilot in various sizes (55 mm in the airplane so I can tilt them up without breaking the seal on my headset, and 52 mm for normal street wear) and strongly recommend them. Same exact model/style issued as standard to military and NASA aviators for decades. They normally retail for around $99 but I've gotten multiple pairs off Amazon within the past year for as little as $56 with two day shipping.

They're not "cheap" but are still considerably cheaper than Ray-Bans (especially at the $50-70 price point) for what I think is frankly superior quality. Personally, since nothing in aviation is cheap anyhow, I'm more interested in value and these deliver.

Note: I'm sure you know that you probably don't want polarized lenses, especially if you're flying glass.

American Optics these feel way more solid than my brother in laws thin framed raybans. they come in different sizes get the same mm size as your wayfarer's. The square style looks less "cop-ish" than the tear drop ones

I tried to find them on Amazon.ca.. Are these the same model? It looks like it.
