I tie the filters (they are yuuuge) with something like this real right and I never have a problem with them escaping if I pour the coffee into another vessel first before pulling out the filter bag. I used to do cheese cloth, filters, and a coffee press, but it was long and messy (I have septic so I can't let the grounds go down the sink) and it never quite got rid of that "scum" of really fine ground particles. This makes it clean, easy, fast, and well-filtered.

Not broke at all...getting high just naturally leads me to building stuff. The Sequoia doesn't have a proper bubbler so I am hellbent on finding a solution. This arrives today: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000RODBZK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Corsair SFX 450 - was on offer on AZN. There's lots of complaints about the stiffness of the cabling in these Corsair SFX PSU's in an ITX form factor - I took a hair dryer to them to soften up the cable insulation casing in order to put the required bends in them as I was fitting, really was very easy.

Just an quick way to attach a alternative fan to the heatsink - they can withstand a couple hundred degrees in the oven. There's some forum chatter that Cryorig may provide something in the future.

Next time one may need a rubber band type fastener where there will be some heat exposure, check the kitchen for these http://www.amazon.com/Architec-Stretch-Cooking-Package-Assorted/dp/B000RODBZK
