When I had strep throat, I was finding it troublesome to eat any food (it hurt so bad to swallow) and mostly felt like a REALLY bad sore throat. I contracted it at a public pool. I'm not sure if this is strep throat, but you should see a doctor and get tested for strep throat. IF you don't have access to a doctor - i'm not sure how reliable this is - try an at home strep throat test kit.
