I would go with a motherboard like the ASRock H110 Pro BTC+ its made for mining so adding extra cards is super easy. I tried other boards and had problems with it detecting all my 4 of my video cards. this motherboard allows for up to 13 GPU. it allows you to grow as you add more video cards.

Hi everyone,

I'm a total beginner when it comes to mining and I want to build my own rig and start doing IT. After doing some research and reading, I decided that I want to start mining Monero as it's easier, quite profitable comparing to other coins and has a lot of room left to grow.

With this set up I calculated a $257 profit at a total of 5500 H/s, 700w consumption and $0.11/kwh and a 1% pool fee.

This seems a little less than I thought and read regarding the profit, am I missing something?

Is the potential hash rate bigger than 5500 h/s or the consumption lower? (I put this value based on what I read on other forums from people with the same video card)

Any advice is welcomed, please let me know your thoughts.

I would suggest This motherboard for the ability to upgrade and add more GPUs.

For the PSU, I would go a little bigger, especially if you're planning to upgrade. For example, 2 x 1200 watt supplies should run a full mobo of 1070's. Make sure you get gold rated or better PSU's. Don't skimp here.
For your SSD, that's fine if you plan to run windows. I used to but I run all my systems on Linux now with Hiveos.farm. If you want a referral link and help setting it up I would be glad to. This will save you $50-$100 AND you'll see more stability, as well as being able to easily manage your rig from a remote location. For a rack, I actually am planning on rebuilding my system and will have a 12 card and 6 card rack to sell here pretty soon.
