A 1660ti has a really good price-performance ratio. If you have a bigger budget then I’d go for a 1080ti or a 2070 or 2080/2080ti
The one I went for was a ASUS ROG Strix 1660ti for $320. I went for this card because it has three fans

I see. That AMD card is quite cheap and looks workable, but I wouldn't expect it to be the panacea. I'm also considering the ASUS ROG Strix GeForce GTX 1660 Ti:
