This is the model I have. It doesn't have a battery at all, just a capacitor to give it enough power to save the video on shutdown. This accident was unusual because the entire electrical system is destroyed almost instantly, that's why it stops so quickly.

I have a Viofo A119 I’ve had for a few years now that I’ve had good luck with. There are a few different A119 variants but they all seem to do well. Here is a link to something similar to what I have.
There is a newer model that’s even cheaper.
Check out Anker or Aukey brands on Amazon. Super cheap with a slew of great reviews. I got my Roav for about $60 on a Kinja Lightning Deal and can't imagine driving without one!

The suction cup mount is useless and total junk. Stick to 3m tape mount option or find a rear view mirror mount.
I bought a super cheap one on Amazon. I didn't buy it for Shipt, but just because everyone in my city drives like shit. It was easy to put in by myself. It isn't super fancy or advanced but it records everything, stays in place, and has a pretty decent picture quality for the price. Here's a link to the one I have if you're interested.

Aukey - This one looks like a camera. This causes people to want to touch it. This is a huge negative. 1) People touch it, move it out of position, and play with settings. All of these things are not in your best interest as people may disable it before an accident as a "joke." 2) This design draws attention to itself - Police/Other drivers/Passengers/Thieves all things you would like to avoid.
Aukey would have to do a lot to impress me. Thus far they have not.
