I use BCW sleeves. They're cheap and get the job done.

these are pretty snug. They are a bit tight for double LPs with gatefold sleeves.
For inner, I prefer DisKeeper IIs. But they often go out of stock on Amazon when I need them. MoFis are great too, though a bit more expensive. My current batch are these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N288RC4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
And they're OK. Don't hate them. Don't love them.
As for outers, I use the BCW ones: https://www.amazon.com/RPM-Record-Sleeves-100-Count/dp/B003NG2WIG/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1497379007&sr=1-1&keywords=bcw+outer+sleeves
Can't beat the price on those. They are thin, but that's my preference. They fit most thicker gatefolds as well.

I use these and have never had a problem with them. I like that they aren't too big, aren't too small. I think they're juuusst right.
For outer sleeves, I use these. They're inexpensive (100 for $15, sometimes less since Amazon changes the price sometimes) and are crystal clear enough that you can see the album art through without any cloudiness or discoloration. This is useful so that it doesn't become hard to read the spines on your shelf; other sleeves I've used have posed that issue.
For inners, I should be buying diskkeepers but I'm too lazy and haven't gotten around to it. I also have ~425 records in my collection, many of which are more than one disc, so I know it would take fucking forever to get through all of them with replacement sleeves.
A record shop I frequent uses these, which are exceptionally sturdy and accommodate most gatefolds with no issue.
For singles, I use these. They are not as sturdy but accomodate singles just fine.
You should invest in some of these.
Shrink wrap continues to shrink over time and can bend the corners. Just a thought.
Just got a huge collection from my dad (lucky me) contains some first prints of Led Zeppelin II and IV (US not Germany) and tons of other beauties (my fave Steve Miller Band's first album first print) and I would just like to know the best way to keep them you know, safe. They aren't all the best quality condition wise but they're from my dad, so you know, sentimental.
I found these https://www.amazon.com/RPM-Record-Sleeves-100-Count/dp/B003NG2WIG but i don't know if this is what I need i'm a complete noob. Is there something like a filer that I could use instead so i could sort it by artists?
Also, about something to actually keep them in besides a tub? I'll be listening to them all the time cause I absolutely love the sound of a nice vinyl on high quality speakers. I'm quit low on money so anything cheap would work I'm not worried about looking like the fanciest guy in town. I'm lucky enough with the speakers I have and the albums I attained.
These are the ones I use on all 400+ of my records. Sometimes you have to put gatefolds in on a different side than the rest, but they do the job.
For inner sleeves I use Mobile Fidelity Master Sleeves Amazon
For outer sleeves I'm not terribly concerned so I use the cheap ones Amazon
This is probably not a popular choice for outer sleeves but I bought these since they were cheaper and I think they're great. I've had no problems with them except it's a little hard to get double LPs in them sometimes.
I find it's best stored in damp, warm places, or if possible near open flame. Under a furnace, or near but not in, a fireplace.
Yeah you're fine dude. Vertical is best. If you wanna preserve the jacket, get outer sleeves like these and keep the record in the sleeve alongside the jacket, in the clear outer sleeve. Then you won't end up with ringwear on the jacket after a couple years.
Process of any record I receive. Open it, air spray big dust particles off, use cleaner with a simple microfiber cloth (i damp the cloth) after that I put back all the internals into the record sleeve and then put the actual record in some good inner sleeves and put it behind the record sleeve and put all of that in some simple outer sleeves. I do this to every record and I do it because I value the money I put into my collection and would like to prevent wear and tear (I have a 13 month old daughter on the lose) especially for trading purposes in the future.
I like these

Also have them in an IKEA Kallax shelf, to prevent Ringwear I don’t pack them in too tight
I hang four records on the wall and change them out once a week. I also store all my albums in individual plastic sleeves.
So when four are on the wall, I take the records out, put them back in the plastic sleeves and put them back in my bins.
I use these to store/protect my albums:

I think they're just called record sleeves. That's all I've seen them called.

Do yourself a favor and buy yourself record sleeves

They'll keep your sleeves from getting ringwear like you see with records in the dollar bins.
What's up guys. Can you tell me if these are acceptable outer sleeves

and are these OK for the records themselves

Thanks all!
What's the best way to make sure my record collection lasts a long time? Is it fine to just store them on a shelf as is in a cool area? Or is it advised to store each in their own polypropylene sleeves like these here? New to collecting so I want to make sure I'm doing everything right.
Also cleaning. Am I good with just one of those brushes like this? Or do I need some spray too?
