Personally I use a Logitech G502, they have tons of great gaming mice in their lineup. It's been going strong for nearly 3 years now, so frankly I can't speak about the quality of customer service, since I haven't had to use it.

For some options I don't have any personal experience with (using or customer service), you could try the Zowie FK2 or the Finalmouse Ultralight. It just come down to personal preference (mouse shape/grip, number of extra buttons, extra button placement, what software comes with the mouse, etc)

Zowie FK2

I was reading a lot about gaming mice, that pro players used, and this seemed to be really highly regarded as a very accurate, advanced, no-nonsense, no frills, mouse.

I like it. It's simple, it's plain, it doesn't look like a sci-fi alien ship, and it works really, really well. I appreciate simple things that work really well. I've had the Razer Oroboros, Logitech G500, & MX518. This one feels the best.... but it's not like a phenomenal upgrade; it's just a mouse that looks nice, feels nice, and works really well. I think many mice above like $20 are probably pretty great.

I dont know what game you play, but I play mostly First Person Shooters (CS:GO is my main game) and I'm using Zowie FK2 and it is amazing. Watch some reviews and think about it.

u/Mortilnis · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

I know you said not ambidextrous but I'd recommend the Zowie FK2 as it's a really comfortable mouse for right hand use, so I assume the same can be said for left hand use.

Plus it's only 50 on amazon atm.

u/tadpolebilly · 2 pointsr/WidowmakerMains

Buy a mousepad, I think that will really make a difference with the smoothness of the surface you are playing on. As for a mouse, it doesn't have to be a lefty mouse, it can be ambidextrous. The Zowie FK2 is commonly used among pro players and has both an ambidextrous design and side buttons on each side. If you don't have a budget, you could definitely look at something like the Logitech G Pro Wireless.

The updated version of the G300, the G300s

Zowie FK series is similar, It only has 6 keys though and the 4 buttons are on the side (2 on each side). Also bit pricey too.

I would reccomend dropping the price a bit if you are hoping to sell, as the black variant is a bit cheaper new on amazon. :)

I'm adding in another vote for the Zowie FK 1 or 2, driverless! But seem to be sold out at a lot of places.

> There are a lot of ambidextrous mice on the market, I would suggest getting one of those first. For example, the SteelSeries Sensei has side buttons on both sides and a neutral design so you can use it with either your right or left hand.

Problem is, I'm a big dude with extremely big, long hands. Are there any ambidextrous mice that are sorta big? I've read that most of the ambidextrous mice are kinda small. It's why I like the deathader and rival (which I have now), cuz they're sorta big mice.

Would this mouse be a good buy?

I have 4 reliable ones in mind atm, but I'm really not sure which would best suit me.

Zowie FK1 or FK2

If any mice guru can help me out, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!!

If you're willing to put in an exta £5 you can get a FK2 from amazon from the new & used section https://www.amazon.co.uk/Zowie-FK2-Ambidextrous-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00QIH1GD4/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=zowie+fk2&qid=1573931097&sr=8-1

There are tons of options on mechanical keyboards and it's probably best to go sift through everything on /r/MechanicalKeyboards.

As for mice, I'm personally a big fan of the Zowie FK2. It's a simple but high-quality mouse. No crappy utility program to manage it. No overabundance of buttons. Only $60. I got mine about a year ago after seeing a lot of positive takes on Zowie mice, especially in /r/globaloffensive.

Going through Amazon right now, there seem to be different versions of the FK2. Is this the most recent version of it?

It's important to remember what you'll be using your PC for before picking out your peripherals.

For a mouse:
Any type of MMO or MOBA gaming? I recommend a Razer Naga (Razer hate stems from overpricing, they're still quality products), the Corsair Scimitar, or the Logitech G600. Mostly FPS? I recommend the Zowie FK1/FK2 (they seem to be hard to find these days, unfortunately), the Logitech G400s or the Razer Deathadder. I also recommend you check out this guide for more details on solid gaming mice.

Keyboards are a lot harder because even if I list features you'd need to know what type of resistance you'd want in your keys, when it comes to mechanical.
How much space do you have? Do you need a full size keyboard, a tenkeyless board (which just removes the numpad),or a 60% board. Do you want mechanical, which can make typing more comfortable but is more expensive? Then you'll need to check out some youtube videos if you can't find instore demos. Bestbuy should have a couple, but if not try this video. If you want the clacky noise then Blues are the way to go, but normally I'd recommend reds or browns.

Good luck! And if I notice an error in my post I'll edit soon.

EDIT: Added a couple more mouse recommendations.

Just go with Ramzinho suggestion as it's the best (you should try out some mice for yourself, see which one fits your hand and your grip better, only you can do that).

But as you asked for a rundown of mice, here's my experience:

A4Tech AK47

PROS

  • Really cheap
  • Solid
  • ambidextrous
  • Can select out of a few DPI settings

    CONS

  • No additional buttons (thumb or otherwise) except for the DPI switch.
  • Kinda flat
  • Ugly design

My first "gaming" mouse, I had no money left after building my computer so I went for this one. It's good for a starting mouse, but low end and the missing thumb buttons are a big turn off.

    Logitech G700

    PROS

  • Logitech freeroll mousewheel
  • A LOT OF BUTTONS
  • Polling Rate and DPI settings

    CONS

  • Heavy
  • The charging cable is super hard to move and you are required to use it at times since the mouse battery is insanely ridicule. I mean it lasts only a few hours on a full charge...
  • Battery is shit
  • Mousewheel quality is shit. Broke 2 mice in a month.
  • Kinda weird grip on the mouse, not really comfortable.
  • Logitech gaming software
  • Only for right handed people

This mouse is huge, has a lot of features, a lot of buttons, and a lot of flaws. Not recommanded for fast paced gaming because of the short battery duration or heavy ass charging cable.

    Razer DeathAdder

    PROS

  • Not really expensive in the US (really expensive everywhere else tho)
  • Best form factor for a lot of people (subjective)
  • Nice and big thumb buttons
  • Nice and satisfactory click when pressing buttons
  • Available for both right and left handed persons
  • DPI and polling rate settings
  • Really low activation point (<3mm) so you won't make huge weird movements if you're one of those that lift their mouse a lot.
  • Can save profiles

    CONS

  • Razer Quality (broke 3 over a total timespan of 2 years)
  • Razer Gaming Software

One of the best mice I used overall, I'll still be using one if they weren't so cheaply made and broke so much.

    Steelseries Sensei Raw Rubber

    PROS

  • Ambidextrous
  • Good form factor if you have big hands
  • DPI and polling rate settings
  • Low activation point

    CONS

  • Issues with the mousewheel

A good mouse overall, but kinda bland compared to others, as in not really providing good value for the money. Also has mousewheel issues, which is what made me switch to something else. The issue appeared after a good 7 or 8 months, but was really fucking with me after a while. Basically it would go randomly up when you scrolled down, and vice versa.

    Zowie FK2

    PROS

  • NO DRIVER!!!
  • Ambidextrous
  • DPI and polling rate settings (you can't precisely set your DPI, but you have 4 settings to switch from a button)
  • Really precise
  • Really low activation point (almost on par with razer's deathadder on a razer goliathus mat)
  • Really solid build
  • discreet mouse if you're not into the usual gaming gear design

    CONS

  • Not braided cable (my cat chewed the cable off of my first FK2 :()
  • kinda expensive for the amount of goodies it carries
  • The DPI button is located below the mouse, so it's not practical if you like to switch on the fly during gameplay.

The mouse I'm currently using. It comes close second to Razer in terms of how comfortable it is for me. It's light years ahead in terms of quality. As you probably remarked, I'm not really taking care of my mice (thanks CS), but this one is indestructible. No driver bullshit, but that means no precise DPI settings (you've got 4: 400, 800, 1600 and 3200), and no profiles but that really isn't an issue. Large Teflon pads, it glides really nicely on my goliathus control mat, almost as well as the deathadder. Dunno what else to say, apart that I'm currently happy with it even though I long for the day someone makes a solid deathadder. I'm even using the one my cat chewed the cable off of at work, with a bit of tape it's working fine as long as I don't move the cable too much.

edit: who puts an "s" at the end of mice?
u/koa-ayatollah · 0 pointsr/gadgets

You're looking at the most basic gear, my dude. You know.. the one that targets teenagers/highschoolers with little disposable income.

Take a look at any decent tower that isn't an RGB nightmare;

Take a look at Filco Majestouch Ninja 2 keyboards.

Take a look at zowie FK2 mice.

Hey, yeah, thanks for asking. A lot of people on this sub don't know anything about mice apparently (due to my downvotes).

  • This mouse fucking weighs 121 grams (which is crazy fucking heavy)
  • You probably want a mouse in the range of 60-90 if you actually want to play competitive shooters (or if you don't want your hand to hurt)
  • The mouse design is a relatively safe shape, you can definitely find mice on the market that will fit your hand better.
  • If you are actually looking for a good competitive fps mouse that is wireless, buy the Logitech G Pro Wireless for the same price. It fucking weighs 81.9 grams compared to this fucking metal tank.
  • Otherwise, if your in the market for a casual browsing wireless mouse, go with the G903 lightspeed.

Anyways, there are plenty of mice on the market now that have top tier sensors with amazing shapes and low weight... here's a few...

  • Zowie FK

  • G305

  • XM1

  • Razer Viper

  • G-Wolves Skoll

I would highly suggest to not listen to anyone on this subreddit. Find a mouse that suits your mouse grip. Don't buy random garbage posted because it looks like a good deal.
