This happened a few years ago. Volumes became exceedingly scarce, and I'm not even sure Dark Horse was entirely aware. Sales fell off (not to say it wasn't selling well) once they caught up with Japan, so I guess Berserk became a kind of a back burner item. It would appear that has happened again.
Dark Horse would be foolish not to replenish all of their wares with the new anime coming, Volume 38 on the horizon, and the series resuming.
Whatever you do, don't buy Volume 3 for $61.22. Just wait it out until the stocks get replenished.
Volume 3 is on amazon for $13 but 29 is insanely priced.
