Ever been to Boulder, CO? The weather doesn't usually get too hot. Bugs? Not a worry there. The town may have become too popular recently. I haven't lived there since 2010 and it was becoming obnoxious with hikers in Chautauqua. But that isn't where the best bouldering is anyway. I'm sure you could find some restaurant work there. And about 25,000 to 30,000 students leave during the summer which makes the place a dream. Mostly granite in the area that gets slippery in the afternoon. But there is plenty of sandstone, too. Huge variety of bouldering in Boulder, oddly enough. I lived there for two years and that's where I got into climbing. I think this might be a good option for you to consider. If you do go, definitely pick up a guide book. This is the one we used: http://www.amazon.com/Best-Boulder-Bouldering-Bob-Horan/dp/1585920045

You don't need a guidebook for what you are looking for, the classic one by Bob Horan is the go to guide if you want to buy one but most of that info is already on MP. If you are limited on time and want to spend more time climbing than hiking just stick to exploring the easy access options on MP.

Best option when you get to town is drive up Flagstaff and start walking around, there is enough V0-V2's to keep you busy for weeks.

If you want to cool down head to Eldo and warm up traversing the base of Wind Tower or Whale's Tail. You can also head up Boulder Canyon and there is a nice little cliff behind Elephant buttress that has great views and fun bouldering with a nice top out.
