Get some q-tips and Bestine. For cards that are just a little dirty, you can use just a tiny bit of distilled water but, that always has risks.
A tiny bit of Bestine will not impact the card at all so if you're careful, it will look great. I used it to clean my grim tutors a few years back.
Use this stuff. Bestine. Pour it on a paper towel, soak the sticker, peel the sticker off, wipe away any residue with that paper towel. Stuff is amazing for stickers, though it can start to remove color if you have too much and rub to long.
I don't sniff personally, but https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004O7HM38/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1491352288&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=rubber+cement+solvent+and+thinner

Is this the right stuff? Bestine
You want rubber cement solvent and thinner
This is the one I use, but there are other brands. Add solvent (5--10 parts to one part glue) shake vigorously for a couple minutes. If too thick, keep adding solvent and shaking. You want your final solution slightly thicker than water, or a very thin slime. Even thinner than the glue comes.
Try out Bestine. I use it on Video Game boxes, and it won't make the artwork run or fade. You just dab a bit on the residue with some cotton swabs, let it sit a for about 10 seconds, and wipe it away with clean cotton swabs. Works wonders! I use it to get Gamestop stickers off of DVD style cases, if you didn't know, they took the insert out of the box, and would put stickers on it, instead of the outside plastic of the box. So it should work well for Album Covers!
Bestine. Placement of sticker is irrelevant.
This is the easiest method that I've found.
The TLDR is that you put a couple of drops of Bestine Solvent on the back of the paper, and the stamp peals right off. However, it will still be sticky. You can either scrape the adhesive off, dab some unscented talcum powder on it, or stick the stamp to the clear window of dealer stock cards and cut it out. I've found it tricky to scrape the adhesive off without damaging the stamp. And I cannot find unscented talcum powder anywhere. Luckily the dealer stock cards is an easy option.
(I'm just figuring this out, so use your own best judgement.)
I was wondering if that was pure, but I couldn't find a source to back it up. Thanks.
Doc's is the best price, Second is the same size but no brand name, Bestine is the priciest because you're paying for the brand, it's literally 100% more expensive than the other two after shipping.
