Two authors for this one: Prothero is a geologist. The book takes a good look at the beginnings of the yeti thing and also bigfoot.

The author of this one is an anthropologist and takes an academic approach to many of the previous claims.
If you like a scientific approach these are two good choices IMO.
I also really like any book written by Joe Nickell, he takes a look at a lot of different paranormal/cryptid stuff from a perspective that is honest and thorough... again, IMO.
