I have the 4 disc "The Final Cut" version, also known as the 4 disc "Collector's edition". This is it.

I'm very satisfied with it. It has 4 versions of the film, which I think is all you need: the Final Cut, the Director's Cut, the International Cut, and the original theatrical release. It's enough.

It was this version. It's less then 10 bucks on Amazon...

>Oh wow Blade Runner had 7 versions, I was not aware! I only saw one. Now I'll have to consider watching another. Which is the best in your opinion?

I've only seen the original and director's cut so far. If you're interested in the various versions of the movie, I'd say start with the theatrical release. The biggest difference between that and the other versions of the movie was the removal of material - Harrison Ford's voiceovers and the final scene or two of the theatrical, both of which were only added in after audience reaction to test screenings.

Either way, it's a sci-fi classic for a reason, so whichever one you can find or rent. You could go luck of the draw and buy whatever one you find first - I've got the '92 director's cut because I found it at a thrift store for $3. Or, you could just buy the DVD with four different versions of the movie. :D

Back to ME3...

I do agree that you could do the multiple endings that way, but truth be told the number of endings doesn't matter to me as much as the content does. Three endings is plenty in some cases, like the original Deus Ex, but if they all suck... In any case, neither of us are qualified to discuss that yet. Ask me again once I've got a job and I've played the game.

As for the GOTY thing, I would agree and I normally do that (or wait for game plus DLC to get cheap in a Steam sale), but it probably won't happen here. ME1 sort of had a GOTY release with the Platinum Hits bonus disc (lots of making of content, goodies like a 360 dashboard theme, and the Bring Down The Sky DLC), but there's never been a complete version with Pinnacle Station included. And to the best of my knowledge, there hasn't been and may never be a ME2 rerelease. Since I've been playing the series on my 360, I'll probably do what I did last time and hold out on the DLC until Microsoft puts it on sale. I think I bought the ME2 mission DLC packs for something like $2 each.

Actually just found the 4-disc edition last weekend; basically the 5-disc edition without the Workprint version of the film. Like /u/StarfighterProx said, it really depends on how much you like the film, and how many different versions you're interested in seeing.
