If you plan on trading it in, you can fix the screen yourself. This happened to me - I ordered an iPhone 6 from AT&T and had to wait a month. In that time I managed to drop my phone and smash my screen. I wanted the trade in value so I got this screen from amazon. It came with everything I needed to replace it besides a small flat tip screwdriver. I then followed this guide.

I just traded my phone in today with that new screen and they took it no problem. The ifixit guide is wicked handy and explains everything step-by-step. If you fix it yourself make sure you label all screws as to size and what step they came off at. Overall it took me two hours.

If you're up to the task, you could always try replacing the screen on your own.

I recently replaced my 3GS screen using this tool set and followed a video guide on YouTube as reference. Just take your time and have a container handy to hold the extremely small Phillips screws.

Replacing the screen would have been easier. The kit is only $18 at smazon.
