I really liked DC's blue beetle 2006 reboot. Interesting characters, very fleshed out that you can get into it, has a bit of a Spider-Man feel because its a teenage kid that gets super powers and learns responsibility but not a carbon copy.

Blue Beetle history lesson incoming:

There has been 3 people(technically 4) that have taken the Mantle of Blue Beetle.

The original Golden Age Blue Beetle was created by Fox Comics in the 1940's. He was a police officer named Dan Garrett that moonlit as a vigilante. He was originally a ripoff of Green Hornet hence the name. I don't believe this run has been collected anywhere.

In the Silver Age, Charleton Comics bought the character. Dan was rebooted into an archeologist that finds a magic artifact called the Scarab and gains super powers from it. This run is also uncollected as far as I know.

Later in the Silver Age, a new Blue Beetle was introduced by Steve Ditko(Co-creator of Spider-Man). Ted Kord takes over, he obtains the scarab but does not have access to it's powers. This run is collected in the The Action Heroes Vol. 2. https://www.amazon.com/Action-Heroes-Archives-Vol-DC/dp/1401213464/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1511376467&sr=8-1

DC later bought the character and integrated him in the DC universe. Ted had a solo book in the 80's written by Len Wein. https://www.amazon.com/Showcase-Presents-Beetle-Len-Wein/dp/1401251471/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1511376880&sr=8-14

Also in the 80's Ted was a member of Justice League International which was recently collected in an omnibus. https://www.amazon.com/Justice-League-International-Omnibus-Vol/dp/1401273866/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1511376730&sr=1-1

During Infinite Crisis, a 3rd Blue Beetle, a teenager named Jaime Reyes obtained the scarab and was able access it's powers. This story later continues in Justice League: Generation Lost. https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Beetle-Book-1-Shellshocked/dp/1401209653/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1511376832&sr=8-6

Jaime had a new not very good book in the New 52. https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Beetle-Vol-Metamorphosis-New/dp/1401237134/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1511376882&sr=8-10

For Rebirth, a new Blue Beetle book was launched. Jaime is the main character, but Ted and Dan appear in it as supporting cast.
