I've had this about 2 years (bidet sprayer). Regardless of what's coming out, this is nice to have (no more buying TP!)! And poo-pourri, which you can also DIY.

I bought a $79 hand bidet off amazon. It came in two days (no prime) and I had it installed it literally under 10 minutes. No electricity required, works great, and the thing has literally saved my ass. Highly recommend.
I have these on my toilets. Makes it easy to keep clean. Maybe that would be a hint, at least if she was at your place. Plus, if you're setting a tone of washing up yourself before sex, I think your partner is more likely to follow suit.
The idea of getting her to shower with you is a good one. Really, if she turns that down, I don't think anything short of directly asking is going to do it.

There are two types of "after-market" bidets. The main kind looks like this:

These are great because they are automated for the most part, you just turn it on and adjust the pressure with the dial next to you.
The second type is actually called a douchette, or handheld bidet and looks like this:

I have a friend that installed this kind and likes it, but I prefer the first kind, because I don't have to hold it with my hand.
I bought a spray nozzle that just hooks to the side of the toilet -- it attaches to the water line between the wall and the tank. So glad I did it. Only downside is that it's just hooked up to the cold water, which doesn't bother me too much.
