I just got this charger/restorer, Opus BT-C2400 to help with Nimh batteries. It has a "refresh" mode which cycles the battery over 3 charge/discharge cycles, to remove some of the memory. It really helps. Good stuff. I highly recommend you get a charger like this.

Mine has firmware and software v2.0. Get that one. It only does AA and AAA batteries, nothing else. If you use CR123s or 18650s you'll want a recharger that handles those also.

The reason I got this: My Nimh batteries were only lasting for 20 cycles. Then I discovered my energizer charger was charging them at 1100ma, on a 2200mah battery. That's 0.5C (half of battery capacity) which is way too high. The Opus charge has different charger settings for mah. Lower charge rate of mah takes longer to charge, but it also increases the battery life a lot.
