Jonathan Edwards: A Life by George Marsden. This just may be the best religious biography ever written. Read it.
Augustine of Hippo: A Biography by Peter Brown. Another classic. If Marsden's book on Edwards isn't the best, it's this one by Brown.
Abraham Kuyper: Modern Calvinist, Christian Democrat by James D. Bratt and Abraham Kuyper: A Short and Personal Introduction by Richard J. Mouw. Bratt is the first full length English biography of Kuyper and the best option for a detailed understanding of Kuyper and his context. It does assume some familiarity with Kuyper's idea's so if you are starting from scratch you might consider reading Mouw's shorter book first. Both recommended.
I haven't read it yet, but this is the one that I've seen recommended highly: Calvin https://www.amazon.com/dp/030017084X/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_x76LybNRZBTDP
He did live an interesting life! Bruce Gordon's biography of Calvin is considered one of the best. Gordon is a Reformation scholar at Yale Divinity. He also wrote a "biography" of the Institutes recently.
