Not so much 'proud of', but there are some that fascinate me more than others.

My bedroom a couple years ago. I really love kaleidoscope projectors and oil projectors. I couldn't take the oil projector (mathmos brand) with me on the last move (AU>US different voltage) so I'm in the market for a new one. Currently thinking about something from optifanatics.

Edit: Just watched the video again for the first time in a while and forgot one of my other favorites, this "Laser Star", though I've seen it under different brands. It has two separate lights, one for a blue space nebula, and another for green laser stars that slowly orbit. You can have one or the other or both on. Also, there is a bit of fog in the room so the laser beams would be more visible, I use the Antari F-1 Fazer for this.

Edit 2: there's a bunch of groovy lights for camping and such too. Check out ENO(eagles nest outfitters) for a couple options. Their lava lamp is impressive.

I did voluntarily replace the fan though since I didn't like the noise it made and it improved operation.

For me, it provides enough ambient lighting. I usually just use it to zone out before going to bed, though.

The star machine has one laser that is more powerful than the other "stars" (the other green beams you see), but it isn't powerful enough to actually impair your vision. They are in no danger standing in front of it.

The stars are lasers instead of being projected. Plus it also has a projector for the nebula-esque part. I’ve had mine for years now and it still works great.

I'm 24 and I'm starting to worry I'm getting too old for this. which really sucks because I bought it a few months ago.

Not the best for a "star projector", but definitely fun to have, and cool to space out on.

Buy something like this. Be warned, I had one but it stopped working after 3 years and I spent close to 130 on it.

Get him a laser stars projector! It's a little more than 100 though which you might not want to pay ($120). I've got a couple and love to just zone out and try to follow the little green stars
