I spent 1 full day wearing the stilts around my house to get used to them. I have pretty good balance and they are made in a way that they dont really mess with your balance also. And hand troubles happen so its fine, im just hopeing i can get some snazzy new arms like Violet sooner or later when Medtech gets a bit better. And well when i was in japan, my apartment was in akihabara so i was surrounded by otaku stuff all the time haha. I know the country its self isnt all otaku. I had quite the busy trip there, went to Osaka, Kyoto, Gunma, up north to the upper edge of Japan, and all around in between. Lots of fun seeing stuff. And damn those looks great. Thats exactly what i was thinking of. Yeah its gonna be tiral and error to get them fitting right and moving well and such, but sounds like you are familiar with all that so you should be able to get them to a satisfactroy state soon enough. Ide love to get a 3d printer but i dont think ide get my moneys worth out of it because i dont really have much need for one right now. I have a background in 3d so thats not the issue, but i just dont know what i would make. I was debating getting one for a while but settled on a photo poster printer instead because i knew i could get more use out of that, and printing at 5000dpi in large format is soooo satisfying. The main issue is finding images with good enough resolution to print at that high of quality haha.

My tip would be to print a set of tube shaped peices to go over your own fingers to create the effect. Then you could still use your hands. So for each bone in your hand do a tube so 9 tubes and 5 end caps per hand. Just make sure you taper the underside of them where your fingers bend so you can bend your fingers properly. Then you can just hot glue them in place on a pair of gloves so they fit right and your done. Thats how ide do it.

From the looks of your image you have fake fingers that stick on the ends of your fingers and extend past, which works, but they dont bend probably, so at least that way you have movement. And with a 3d printer you should be able to print the tubes small enough for your hands with no real trouble.

For the best contrast and color accuracy, forget color laser printers. Get yourself a good large format inkjet printer.

Consider the Canon PIXMA Pro-100. This printer supports media sizes up to 13x19" (up to 13x26" is possible through an undocumented process). The Pro-100 has a highly color-accurate 8-color ink system that will produce professional quality printouts, and is perfect for graphic design proofing. It can give you an extremely high resolution of 4800x2400 dpi capable of a microscopic 3 picoliter droplet size. Printing on the highest quality setting with Canon media and appropriate color-correction (dependent on your computer and monitor configuration), you can expect your printed output to be indistinguishable from actual photographs.

Here in the US, there are several people who have purchased and claimed a rebate (cut the UPC from the box), but left the printer sealed, unused and unopened. Therefore these can be easily purchased BRAND NEW on Amazon Marketplace starting around US $200 including shipping (stick to sellers with positive reviews). You might have to check UK sources for a similar deal, or have one shipped there if it's cost effective to do so. If you prefer an EU localized model, search for the "Canon PIXMA Pro-100S".

How about a dickbutt riding a unicorn under a rainbow?

I am thinking of getting some boxes just to mess with people.

I see that it is recommended to upload logos and graphics with at least 300 dpi, however is there a maximum DPI limit?

Is it necessary to include a border for image bleed through on the box/if we want to get the full image to fit to the edges?

If there a recommended pixel WxH to insure that the image fills the top of the box, without bleeding over/image loss?

Do the printers use RBG or CYMK? (or something else if not these, this can severely effect eventual color)

Is there a preferred bit depth for the images?

Is printing done "in-house" or do you ship out for the actual printing? ( I know many companies do this)

Have been a bit burned by some printers in the past, where they hadn't specified what was needed/being used until getting to the proofing stage. Nothing worse then getting back a proof due to usability due to RBG rather then CYMK usage or wrong pixel density. :(

EDIT: Just to be clear, when it comes to getting something printed we are a bit serious in requirements and how we like things to look. This and this are our home printers.

The pro 100. We would get streaks in our Epson if we didn't clean the heads twice a day. The Epson also had problems with taking the 11x17 paper we used for transfers onto white shirts; this Canon does not. I also personally think the prints are more crisp as well, but that could be bias. Canon sends you free photo paper too when you buy their ink, which is nice. The Canon does take up a lot more space on your desk though, things really big.

Edit: we use this printer (have 2 of em) for mock ups and scanning. I got it for $182, not $300. Also a solid buy, don't know how it would do for small transfers though

It was a home job.
We have an older version of the Canon PIXMA pro (Canon PIXMA Pro-100 Wireless Color Professional Inkjet Printer with Airprint and Mobile Device Printing https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0095F5BCS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_.G5vxbF7ERPF4)

The transparency I used was a 13x19. I am not sure of the brand, a stack of the transparencies came with the manual press setup I got from Craigslist.

Hey thanks for the super informative reply. The MX922 I have no is working but its just BARELY working. It gets caught often and I have to manually pull the rest of the media out and that isn't really something I enjoy. It's also slow as far as ppm goes so that is sort of a bummer.

This is the specific printer I was looking at and it appears it IS rated to a higher standard of gsm weight? not sure.

Canon Pixma Pro's were the standard when I was in art school. I still have an old Pixma Pro 9000 that still works great. They're great photo printers that print up to 13x19.
