I got my case from Caseology for 5 bucks using a pre-order coupon and I've been loving it so far. They're still on sale for 10 bucks if you want one. Pretty slim, good grip, and has raised edges to protect the screen in case the phone lands on it.

I'm going to give these 2 a try after having ones in the past I really liked for my iPhone. Amazon is doing a special right now on them. They are both extremely slim while still offering plenty of protection.
I'm not a fan of making the massive Note 8 even bigger, so this case is great as it's slim and light but still has reinforced corners and a slight lip for added protection. It's rubbery so it doesn't slip off your hand. It also works with the White Dome screen protector, my other case would brush up against the tempered glass and mess with it.
