I am happy to elaborate on any of these items, including the brands, if you want to know more.
It’s $1 over but this Timex Weekender is an incredible deal and a great first watch that looks good on everyone. Another option is the classic Casio for even less.
https://www.amazon.com/Casio-W800H-1AV-Classic-Sport-Watch/dp/B001AWZDA4 Smash it into walls with my gangly arms, toss it into the bottom of my bag, surf consistently, it's been indestructible for me so far. Super nice to know what time it is out on the water. And if i break it... 12 bucks and I get a new one.

OK, so I paid $16, not $12. There are less and more expensive options, but this is the one I have and it’s perfect.
I get that a lot of those who workout like to use apps on their smart watch or phone during their sessions to track stuff...
I keep track of lifting progressions in a journal that I bring to the gym. The idea of being connected to the internet while working out makes me cringe.
So like someone said in the comments, I just chill in between sets and focus on my breathing I guess. I genuinely think you’ll do better at the gym without checking your phone sporadically through a session. Being disconnected just lets you focus on the exercise and nothing else.
Whenever I see this watch recommended, I also like to add that the W-800H is very similar in features, slightly larger case, couple dollars more (I get it on sale for actually less than the F91W). And it can be modified to have a countdown timer.
Just another option for those who want a reliable digital quartz at a very low cost.
How much is your time worth? A new one is $14:

Two or three meals, eat a can of something delicious, like chunky soup or something, and pocket the savings. Then you'd have $14.

Some inexpensive recommendations...

Get this! I wore it my entire 100 year, and I plan to wear it through my 200 year as well. Me and a ton of other cadets bought them for our candidate class, and now it seems like half of our squadron has one. Super cheap, works great, and has survived mud, water, and impacts.
Nice collection! Just FYI, that's a Casio W800H-1AV, not the infamous, retro F91W aka Terrorist Watch.
Good suggestions here already, but I'll chime in with my beater: a $13 digital-display Casio with 100m WR and 10-year battery, among other features.

I used this Casio watch all through 100 year and up through field training. It served me very well. Easy to access stop watch and big digits for time. Casio Men's W800H-1AV Classic Sport Watch with Black Band https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001AWZDA4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_udyBzbND972YK

This. Get this. It is a reasonable price, waterproof, and durable. I've had this thing since May. I used it while I was rowing, surfing, swimming, etc. and never had a problem once. There's no need for a $250 dollar watch when this will do just the trick for the next ten years.
This Casio has been an excellent gym watch for me. It's light, readable, cheap, and, importantly for you, shows the local time in stopwatch mode.
Keep it light, keep it simple.

This small knife does the job without taking up much bulk in your pocket or EDC. And if you misplace it, it won't cost an arm and a leg to replace.
This light is fairly bright and is easy to use. Twist on/off. No fancy modes with this light. Waterproof and shock resistant in a compact package that runs on just a AAA battery. Also easy to replace if it mysteriously disappears.
This pen doesn't need much of a story. It's cheap. It writes smooth. It conquers.
This is a nice little watch for the price. It's tough and tells the time even in harsh conditions. If you somehow manage to break it or the battery dies, it's not going to break the bank to replace.

Don't carry much in the wallet department so a rubber band or binder clip would do the job. That'd be less than $0.10. Do the math!
So that's a grand total of $50. Excluding a phone or CCW since OP stated that isn't affected.
Not bad for a few quality items that will get you through a day to day basis easily.
Sorry if I missed anything!
Edit: Added a watch to the mix. Added descriptions for all items. Formatting!
The ISO designation for a dive watch is the ISO 6425 standard. You can tell when a dive watch meets this standard because it will say "Diver's 200m WR" or something to that effect on it. However just because it doesn't say Diver's on the dial doesn't mean it's not a dive watch.
The best bang for the buck with traditional dive watch styling is the Casio MDV-106: https://www.amazon.com/Casio-MDV106-1AV-Analog-Watch-Black/dp/B009KYJAJY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1502980615&sr=8-1&keywords=casio+mdv106
A lot of the Casio digital watches are incredibly durable and will survive most of the dives any of us will do. Sheck Exley dove a digital Casio with a 100m water resistance on some crazy deep cave dives and you can still by the same one for $10: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001AWZDA4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_afBKzbWBH6S5G
That's my go-to dive watch. They're $15 and nearly indestructible. Mine's been going on the same battery for 11 years. Legit hardware.

I’m looking for a sub-$120 watch that will be used for some jogging/hiking, with decent water resistance for swimming/snorkeling.
I have a smaller wrist, so I prefer a case size of around 38mm or smaller.
I haven’t found much other than this budget-priced Casio W800H-1AV.
Any and all recommendations would be helpful!
W86 is a great watch for sure.
But my personal favourite for the gym and pool is this one. It has 100m water resist, it's a bit bigger and feels more substantial than the W86 or F-91w.

You said you are new to watches so maybe this next watch is for a few months down the line, but this is my all time favourite. Super durable, solar powered, atomic timekeeping, countdown timer, world time, 200m water resist and (in my opinion) great looking. I've worn this watch, hiking, swimming, gardening, camping, working on the car, woodwork you name it! Perfect timepiece.

I have this watch and the time is a nice large font compared to other watches I have.

I'd say there are three main options:
I've been wearing this similar Casio for the past 3 years. It's one of the very best values of anything I've ever purchased.
For gym and surfing I got a basic casio. Works well and its cheap...
Is that watch the Casio W800H-1AV? If so, how do you like it? Considering buying one. 1k+ reviews 4+ stars. 100m waterproof. 13 bucks. And Casio is still Casio.
Second/third on this, just got a $12 Casio. Haven't used it in the water yet but this is what I plan using so I don't have to get out of the water and check my phone. Heard these cheapo Casios work forever too. About 3 days in, so far so good
Edit: the one I bought
This is my current watch, I have no desire for a huge faced watch, I don't want it to be metal. I am looking for an upgrade for this watch, functional, digital display, durable, reliable and with a nice simple clean look. Date and time are really the only features that are required, a stop watch feature would be a bonus.
I'm sure this isn't a watch that most here enjoy but I love my current watch, I just want to upgrade it in style and durability. Sometimes this watch will reset and I don't know why, I suspect it gets bumped and or it's just low quality.

My pleasure. Of course you could get this now:

And then get the other later. Keep the W800H for a beater watch.
This is similar to the F-91, what do you think of this?
Actually, don't even get a G-Shock. Just get this Casio, which is water resistant and has a light.
Would this be an okay watch for BMT?
How is tech school for 4A2X1? How difficult is it for someone with not much more than just some basic computer knowledge?
I only can do this if I have a time how long I want to endure the pain. Otherwise I just quit. That's why I love my Casio Watch

A $14 Casio. Which I'm pretty sure was only like $10 or so when I bought mine.
Been faithful for several years now. 10 year battery. Has the date always displaying which is nice because I never know the date.
I also like I can just dip it in oxivir or whatever to get it clean without worrying about killing it.
I only ever wear a watch when I go surfing, but I recently kept forgetting to take it off for a few days and actually kinda like the convenience. It was a cheap Casio, so now I'm looking for something that serves the same purpose but looks nicer for daily wear.
Some of my main criteria:
-somewhat slim form factor. Something I don't need to take off to put a shirt on, for instance. I don't want a behemoth on my arm.
-let's say $50 or under. I don't want to have to worry about keeping it safe. I could be convinced to spend more.
-analog or digital are fine. I don't really need all the functions that my Casio has
I can't decide which watch to get, would you guys mind helping me out?
So far I'm looking at Casio F91W, [Casio W800H-1AV] (https://www.amazon.com/Casio-W800H-1AV-Classic-Sport-Watch/dp/B001AWZDA4/ref=zg_bs_6358540011_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=W0MB4NW36A7WRN4S8P1Q), Casio F108WH, Casio W800HG-9AV, and this one (Amazon just called it "Casio Men's Digital Watch"). Any help and/or other watch suggestions around the same price point with similar features would be greatly appreciated
:)

This one's pretty cheap and will last a while. I have been using mine for all SATs/acts/AP.
https://www.amazon.com/Casio-W800H-1AV-Classic-Sport-Watch/dp/B001AWZDA4
It’s 10 dollars. To make it silent just unscrew the back panel (it has 4 tiny screws) and put tape over it. It counts upwards from zero. Super easy to use and super cheap. It can also function as a normal watch as well.
Does anyone know how feasible it would be to put a NATO strap on a Casio W800H-1AV?
Might not be what your looking for but thought I'd post it.
I use a Casio W800H-1AV Sports Watch when I work and I teach and swim with it all the time. It's water resistant to 100m. I've been to the bottom of some really deep pools and been in the water longer then most people (hours and hours) and never had a problem.
The watch has a stopwatch feature which might be what your looking for. It tends to get scratched a bit but I love it.
You can pick it up for $12.19 right now off amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/Casio-W800H-1AV-Classic-Sport-Watch/dp/B001AWZDA4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1466037457&sr=8-1&keywords=casio+sports+watch
Hello! I'm fairly new to getting watches, and I have a budget of only $100 for now. I am currently in university, and I want to wear this watch whenever I go anywhere nice. this can include a nice place to eat, a meeting with a professional, etc. I am planning on getting a Casio W800H-1AV for the everyday watch that I need.
I like metal straps (stainless steel, silver, probably not gold though since it scratches off easily), but I heard that for my budget it is probably not a good idea. I have been doing a lot of looking around, but I don't know what to get.
Extra Info: After I graduate college, my parents are planning on getting me a more expensive watch, so I will not have this watch that I'm buying for over 5 years.
I've got this one for $12. Guess you can call me a big spender
I just have this for timing laps. https://www.amazon.com/Casio-W800H-1AV-Classic-Sport-Watch/dp/B001AWZDA4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1468958264&sr=8-2&keywords=casio+watch
I think the only reason I'd consider anything more expensive is if it tracked HR.
It's hard to dress down a classy watch like that one. I'd just wear a different watch altogether. A basic digital Casio will keep a pretty low profile, and you can get them for the cost of a watch band.
The W800H-1AV, for example has a large time readout and high water resistance.
Or you can up the ante and get the basic G-shock that's built like a tank but will stay under the radar.
I honestly don't know why so many nurses wear FitBits. You should already know you walk a ton at work; you should want to know your steps on your sedentary days! Anyways, most Fitbits are a pain in the ass to use for counting seconds (if a model has the feature at all) and they aren't waterproof, so you can't clean them, which makes them a fashionable petri dish that you slap onto your wrist every morning.
Just get a clean and professional looking watch with a second counter that you can clean. /r/malefashionadvice is a good resource for this (I assumed you're a guy because our surveys have tradiationally been male dominated on this). You can't go wrong with something clean and basic like this: https://www.amazon.com/Casio-W800H-1AV-Classic-Sport-Watch/dp/B001AWZDA4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1482042295&sr=8-2&keywords=casio
Personally, I wear my Garmin Vivoactive because I already own it for tri training, it's washable, and I can decline calls from it if my phone is going off in my pocket.
A Casio W800H! I love the simple, functional aesthetic.
