Mythography as in trying to map out the origin and development of mythos.

I don't think the deluge (as in a cataclysm) is a myth and it has severe implications in regard to interpretations of scripture.

I think that view, which is the orthodox one, may be slowly beginning to unravel. There is more and more good evidence from a range of sources that indicates there was a worldwide, connected civilisation that was almost wiped out between 10000 and 13000 years ago.

'Something' happened that seems to have reset that civilisation and the memories of the event are recorded in the need to record the changes in the heavens via megalithic structures aligned to discern changes that would warn them of danger.

The historical myths from many civilisations from north America to south America, Asia to Australia that describe something coming from the heavens that brought with it a change in the earth's axis, a change in climate and annihilation to entire species.

There are anomalies in the solar system that could be explained by the event described.

Have a read of Cataclysm if intrigued.
