If you're into blues mysteries, OP, you'll probably love a book by Gayle Dean Wardlow, Chasin' That Devil's Music, Searching for the Blues. It includes Wardlow's search for the death certificate of Robert Johnson, and his identification of King Solomon Hill (a fave of mine), and other discoveries. It's a great book, and includes a CD with much of the music discussed in the book. I regret missing a chance to see Wardlow give a talk a couple years ago.
