I saw this Crème brûlée set on Amazon and I couldn't wait to try it. Recipe in the imgur post. I'll probably buy another one for when I need to make more than 4.
I also recommend trying a bain-marie. You can put a kitchen towel in the bottom of a large pan, add the ramekins and water, and bake. (The towel might not be necessary, but it doesn't hurt.) You can even buy convenient sets like these:

(It's just a plain ol' 8-inch square cake pan, four ordinary ramekins, and the special wire rack to hold them off the bottom.)
