Chippewa makes some nice boots. I only have the non steel toe version with lugged soles, but I've beat the crap out of them and they're still going strong.

I use these for work and they are a little bulky, but they are really comfortable and the aluminum toe makes them real light.

You really should ask about the requirements before buying anything they vary widely one plant I worked at required 1/4" raised heels for example. That said I have this pair of chippewa, and this pair of thorogood. I perfer the thorogoods both are good boots though.

Steel toe casual shoes never look good. The toe box is too big and you just end up looking foolish. Get a pair of nice boots. Since you're in a factory, you probably dont need an insole shank like construction boots.

I work in a blue collar job. Generally when I want to look a little nicer I'll throw on a chambray shirt over a white V-neck with some dark or raw denim (a cheap pair, think Gap or Uniqlo). I still wear my steel toes but I prefer a minimalist style boot that, I think, looks a little nicer. Like [this] (https://www.amazon.com/Chippewa-Mens-Steel-20066-Lace-Up/dp/B00413PX3G) or this which are my current pair (Red Wing's customer service is the greatest but thats an unrelated story) Honestly I have zero reason to do it but sometimes you want to elevate from a T-shirt and ripped jeans y'know.

These Justin boots are what I purchased mainly because they'll make it through a metal detector. And although I can't recall the name the little frill on the bottom of the laces is removable.

If you don't need to worry about metal detectors I'd go Chippewa all day.

With your price range, you should look into Chippewas.

However, you're limiting yourself to some great boots at your budget.

Buying a pair of boots. Only other pair I have would be Beeswax CDBs. Help me choose one?

I tend to wear skinner fitted clothes and am very skinny myself (5'8", 110lbs), and I'm unsure about how bulky these may be.
