I've had 4 or 5 different external USB battery packs like this one (but not this specific model). I've had two major issues with almost all of them. Both issues are caused by the same thing: the power input/charging via micro/mini USB. It takes forever to charge these batteries via USB power and the port always ends up breaking after a few weeks/months.
Solution: buy one that charges via DC adapter (non-USB). This is my current one and I'm really happy with it. Not only does it charge super fast, it's also got great build quality.
