If you want it to be a functional modern pilot's watch, probably the Casio Edifice Aviation is your best bet under $150, with it's slide rule bezel and chronograph. If you want more of just an aviation styling, there are some Flieger watches from Messerschmitt, Citizen watches, and Aristo watches. These watches are not as functional today to a pilot as something with a slide rule, but the styling has its roots in vintage German aviation watches.

Well...

Atleast its priced right for its category, a bit expensive but i guess to some the Name is worth something.

Micheal Kors are fashion watches, they slap their name on a cheap chinese case with what i guess is a Miyota (citizen) OS10 or OS20 movement inside, Its not a good watch, but its not bad either.

the thing is if you bought a citizen 2 tone chronograph with a blue face, it would cost you 105 bucks

But if you´re willing to go away from what you want for something slightly classier or better, theres a lot of good stuff to choose from for less money.

I wanted to buy the Citizen Avion watch which is $200 on Citizen's website (with BF discount) and the exact same model is $123 on Amazon.

Is Amazon a legit place to buy watches or am I better off buying from Citizen directly?

I'm not a huge fan, as /u/Koczk88 said, blackout dial really kills readability, plus Fossil isn't really the highest quality watch (though not bad for the price).

I'd spring a bit more and get one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/Citizen-CA4210-24E-Stainless-Steel-Eco-Drive/dp/B00UMD8KQ6/ref=sr_1_5

Not only do they look better (IMHO) but are better quality and Citizen's Eco drive technology means you'll never have to change a battery (well maybe 20 years from now which is their expected life-cycle).

Not sure what your taste is exactly, but this could be something you like.

> Citizen Avion

right in the budget range on amazon right now. There is also this one or this one from a third party seller.

Seiko has their own version of the nighthawk in the flight computer style.

Maybe this or just google citizen chronograph

Are you taking about wrist watches or a stopwatch you can wear around your neck?

If wrist watches I have some recommendations (I’m into wristwatches myself so sorry if I get a bit too excited). What is your budget?

I like to wear chronograph watches while I’m working directly with clients. That way I can start timing something right from my wrist and stop it with the same ease. All of our RBTs have tablets for data entry but a lot of the time (especially during bx) I find this to be faster.

Anyway depending on what you would like to spend there are a few options.

If you want a digital watch I would recommend any of the Casio G-Shocks. They are rugged, will take a beating and have a stopwatch function, most of them with lap/split time functions. They come in a huge range of both prices and features but they’re all great.

If analogue is your style (mine is) then I have a few recommendations. I was wearing the Timex Expedition Field Chronograph for a while. It’s a great watch for the price (about $40 or so) but it has a brass case and will get dented, as well as having a more scratch prone crystal. Currently I wear a Citizen Avion Chronograph , which is stainless steel and solar powered (so you don’t have to fiddle with a battery change every two years). It’s a bit pricey if you’re not into watches, about $140, and although it has a stainless steel case it’s crystal is not as scratch resistant as more expensive watches will be. I also sometimes wear a Seiko SSC031 which also has a chronograph but is a bit pricey (it’s a dive watch).

Of course you don’t need any of those. A cheap $10 watch or a $5 stopwatch will do the trick. I just like watches.
