Oh! You're in for much better news because I think those are just Clarks Originals' Desert London, the oxford equivalent of the oft-recommended Desert Boots. The color is either Sand Suede or Oakwood Suede (though it might just be the Desert Boots that are made in both those colors), hard to see through all that #photography ;-). Here they are on Amazon.

Sorry, but I am not a fan of either of those. The straps on those Chelsea boots kill them for me, and the leather looks cheap and plasticky in the pictures. The Derbies also aren't a good pick for something to start building a wardrobe up.

I would start with something like this: Bass bucks or this Clark Desert London Oxford in Beeswax or brown suede. You can wear either of those with jeans or chinos and an OCBD. From there, you can move on to dress shoes, or a Chelsea boot, but get something nice, like this JE Chelsea.

The more specific you are, the better it is for us to suggest a shoe. Off the top of my head, these 2 come to mind, both Doc Martens: 1 and 2

These Clarks could also work as well as these ones only if you're not restricted to suede.. which is actually a type of leather anyways, unless you mean leather leather.

Also since you didn't post a price range, just going to put these here for the lulz.

I have some of these and I think they're pretty great for the price. Very versatile like you said, and mine have held up pretty well considering I've been using them mainly for work where I spend 12+ hours on my feet spilling random solvents and other liquids on them. They're also really soft and comfortable with little break in period. I pulled out the stock sole inserts on mine and stuck in some more padded ones. Great every day shoe. Probably will be getting another pair soon since mine are no longer "out on the town" condition. Also looking at something like this : vhttp://www.amazon.com/dp/B0087TDWXS?psc=1
