This is just looking at the 10.5 Beeswax but low was $66 and amazon has a 15% off coupon for first time buyers which you can setup using a fake email. But amazon has discounts/coupons on these all the time, you just gotta learn these things.

If you're going to buy CDBs (and you should, quality is good and price is affordable for us college students) try Amazon. It's much cheaper.

Lose the shoes lose the shirt, wear a nice button down preferably something darker to go with the pants find a nice brown belt and some nice leather shoes or something more like this if you want to look extra cool I would prefer you wear a watch with a brown leather strap if you have one, also dont bring the smokes of you unless you KNOW she smokes, I have found girls that don't smoke find that unattractive. I will keep this in mind for my next purchase although are you sure you have your information correct? Both the original and the Bushacre 2 DBs are said to have crepe soles. The color I wanted was available in both styles but the Bushacres were half the price.

Two weeks ago Katahdins went for $168. There might be another sale in a couple weeks if you are willing to wait. No guarantee it will be 20% off, though.

You like the Earthkeepers which are chukka boots and a lot different from the Boyd boots you love. The option for these would be Clark Desert Boots. I wouldn't pay regular price, and they can get down to the $80 range pretty regularly.

Options for NOW would be Thorogoods 1 or 2 from Amazon with the 20% off shoe email coupon or Chippewa's.

You can also get Iron Rangers on sale if you wait patiently. They'll never reach your budget though but they are quality. Toe box is a little big.

Is there a difference between Clark's Original Desert Boots in Beeswax vs Beeswax leather?

I'm seeing 2 options on Amazon and I'm a little confused as to which is the famous beeswax one that everyone is speaking of.

Is that the color of the clarks you mentioned? Or are they already sold?

I'm being overloaded a bit when looking for boots. That's the last step for me as far as building my basic wardrobe and I just can't decide. I've been wanting a nice, comfortable shoe. I've been on the fence between going cheap[er] with CDBs, because I've heard a lot of good things about their comfort, and these AE Strands. Any chance you can comment further on the comfort of the Strands (or even CDBs if you've worn them)?

These are the classic MFA recommendations. These have a slightly more durable sole.

As to if they are good for F/W that depends where you are. The soles aren't very good on snow or ice.
