Don't wash your face too much, your skin could be greasy because it is too dry. If my face looks greasy during the day, I dab it with a tissue. There are oil absorbing sheets you can get too, like this. Wash with a cleanser, CeraVe is a very popular brand on this sub, and seriously look into some creams with active ingredients like BHA(aka salicylic acid), AHA(glycolic acid + a few others), and benzoyl peroxide. These are 3 things that you can get over the counter. Check out the wiki on the sidebar for "Acne" there are a couple of other ingredients you could look into as well, like vitamin C and clay. If you read this sub more you'll see people mention stuff like clindamcin or tretinoin, but those are Rx so go to a derm if you can.

Have patience! If will get better :)

oh I have the same issue. Ok, so my dad gave me those microfiber lens cleaners that are better than regular microfiber clothes or cotton, something like this Always keep something like that around.

Also, regularly using oil absorbing sheets helps. I like Clean & Clear's https://www.amazon.com/Clean-Clear-Absorbing-Sheets-Count/dp/B003V57Q5I

I also always keep napkins or tissues around to wipe off my eyebrows, often oily eyebrows are the culprit of oil getting on glasses. Anywhere hair is on the face, you will get more oil production-so making it a habit to wipe your eyebrows with a napkin or tissue will help

Can you keep mini disposable wash cloths (like baby wipes) or oil sheets (http://www.amazon.com/Clean-Clear-Oil-Absorbing-Sheets-Count/dp/B003V57Q5I/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1382829057&sr=8-2&keywords=Oil+sheets) on hand to wipe down your skin every hour or so? You might get oil buildup that bothers your skin which doesn't help if it stays on open pores for 5-6 hours.

I would suggest getting some Clean & Clear Oil-Absorbing Sheets and blotting your face when you get to work.

Thanks for the reply!

I will try out those blotting papers. Are these Clean & Clear ones good as well?

> Also this mineral powder is great at keeping the shine away.

I am a male. Pardon my ignorance, but do males use this mineral powder? If so, I will definitely try it out. When should I use the powder - morning, evening, or both?

I'm a huge fan of these blotting sheets. They're really great if you're wearing makeup, since they remove oil without removing/messing up makeup.

this one is the first result if I put blotting sheets in amazon...I don't think brand matters so much though.

I have the same problem, I use these:

Edit: I also find that using Stridex twice a day (morning and night) has helped a LOT.

That sucks, because my skin is oily to begin with. I have some of these that I use sometimes and they turn a darker color where oil has been absorbed. I usually only need to use one or two, and I just used 5 to clean my face and neck lol. Guess I'll start carrying a pack around

I'm obsessed with these oil absorbing sheets: www.amazon.com/Clean-Clear-Absorbing-Sheets-Count/dp/B003V57Q5I

Even when I'm not that oily, like an hour after washing my face..ha! These help a ton with the shine. They're fairly discreet, except for the blue color, for touching up on the go.

They're really easy to find in Walgreens, target etc too. About $6.

Not a doc, but oil blotter papers work great. You can get them at Target or probably most pharmacy stores. Mary Kay sells them, too. And, of course, Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Clean-Clear-Absorbing-Sheets-Count/dp/B003V57Q5I?th=1
