I just shave my face around the mouth everyday when I get up. I bought one of these and have bought a new blade time or two and it seems fine.

I do a lot of grinding on my bf when we have sex. Because of that I keep a patch of pubes relatively untouched right above my slit. It acts like a buffer and keeps things from getting too scratchy. I shave the rest with 5-blade razor designed for men. It works profoundly better than any ladies razor I've used. I should also mention that my hair down there is relatively sparse/thin so I am probably not as prone to bumps/redness/itching as other more thick-bushed women.

If your shaving routine is causing you to not have the kind of sex you want when you want it then good gravy, stop shaving! Buy clippers with a guard designed for trimming pubes. Or maybe only shave the lips and ass crack area instead of the whole pubic mound, and trim the rest. Or try something like this. There is a learning curve and it takes some getting used to but this thing works surprisingly well and never leaves bumps. Also gets pretty excellent reviews on Amazon.com so I'm pretty sure it's not just me.

Good luck!

I had the same problem shaving with a wet razor. I highly recommend trying an electric razor made for intimate shaving, like this one they use in Japan. (You'd also want to get the trimmer, because the flat head shaver can only manage very short stubble.) I've been using them for a couple of years and couldn't be happier with the results. Baby smooth and no itchy bumps.

Seiko Clean Cut.

[You use this to trim it down](https://www.amazon.com/Cleancut-PS335-T-Shape-Personal-Shaver/dp/B00141DEAC/ref=sr_1_2_sspa

And this to get real smooth

I bought a Seiko Cleancut by chance once.. seriously the best personal shaver ever! Use it everywhere.. no nics! No razor burn! No ingrown hairs! NOTHING!

Body shave gel... swimmers use it, safe everywhere. Gilette body is good.

Usually better to use body razor/trimmer (face hair and body hair are different), but a regular one will "get the job done".

I got a personal shaver to get what was left, use with talc (optional)

Lastly, follow with Shaveworks The Cool Fix to reduce irritation/bumps

If you want your hole beight and shiny like a porn star's ass, bumper brite supposedly lightens the hole for a more even/smoothed out skin tone

Source: literally my meet-prep kit when i swam (light competitive). Minus bumper brite, im not sure about that, and idk what the long-term use side effects are, use with caution.

For the pubic area, best setup is a combination of the Cleancut PS335 T-Shape Personal Shaver to get hair down to stubble length, and then the Cleancut ES412 Personal Shaver to get the rest. Looks like they are also available as a Combo Pack at a better price.

The PS335's blade is still a little bit exposed, so you still need to go slow and pay attention. The foil screen on the ES412 is very effective, and I don't think I've ever been nicked by it. A little talcum-powder or baby-powder helps it glide smoothly as well.

If he's diligent, after the initial pass only the ES412 is needed to keep it maintained. I'm lazy though, and almost always require both because the ES412 just isn't effective if there is any length on the hair at all. It has to be really short stubble for it to work.

This is the best shaver i've used for my pubes. It makes things really smooth. It only cuts short hairs though, so you have to use a different trimmer first on longer hair to get it short enough. I use this every other day and it keeps things smooth, and it doesn't knick me or give me razor burn. I love it!

It's not cheap, but the Cleancut ES412 is the best shaver I've seen, period. I used one on my face for 15 years, but it's sturdy enough to work great on body hair too. It used to have the Seiko brand, but I think they're still made by the same company. Get it bundled with the PS335 Body Trimmer too for cutting longer hair down to stubble that the shaver can handle.

I'm a woman. I use a Gillette Fusion (everything except the mound, so man up). The Gillette it's the household favorite, in combo with this.

We have bought a few different electric razors over the years for personal hygiene and what works best for us is a man's electric beard hair trimming razor for the monthly trimming, and a Cleancut personal shaver for the in-between times.

I've been using this Seiko Clean-cut for years and is the best electric trimmer for sensitive areas I've found. It's pricey, but top of the line.

I posted this comment on another thread; I'm cutting and pasting an edited version here for you:

... I also did laser hair removal, and although it helped some, it wasn't the permanent, miracle fix I was hoping for.

I recommend trying the Seiko Cleancut Personal Shaver. I've used one for about 8 years now (in fact, I have two). It's affordable, about $50. You can buy replacement heads for $25, but I've never bought a replacement because I haven't needed to. It's powered by one C battery. It's reasonably quiet and easy to carry in a purse (I often take it with me to social events, to "touch up" discretely in the ladies' room when I need to).

... this thing is a dry shaver, so all you need is a little baby powder or corn starch on your skin (to absorb oils), and run the foil head over you skin and, "voila!" the hair is gone, at least for awhile (I use it twice a day). It gets very close to the skin; close enough that I don't have that five o'clock shadow look. And, because it's a dry shave, it has never irritated my skin.

... At the risk of sounding like an over-dramatic infomercial, finding the Cleancut was sincerely one of the most important moments of my life.

I hope you find something that will work for you! Good luck!

Try a circular foil razor

You just have to do a REALLY close trim before you use the electric razor.

Don't waste your time with those horrible 'bodygroom' razors.
