I was going to include a link to the container I use, but I figured it would be easy enough to search Amazon for a coffee container. This is the one that I use. I haven't had any problems so far.
I’ve found these to be the best. They come in different sizes. Not sure if it’s practical for your needs.

I live in NYC. There are many awesome espresso places here and probably more concentration of roasters than in most other parts of the US(?). However I can't find anything smaller than 12 oz bags.
