If you think cutting down on the internet is good for you, then it probably is. It'd be worth picking up a new hobby though, something productive such as running, reading, learning to play an instrument, any random sport, etc... It's difficult sitting around in one room because the longer you stay there the harder it is to find motivation to get out and do something to break the monotony. I'd recommend this as a good read to potentially give you some motivation.
