this is my exact model

Purchased 1/5/2014.

So yeah... I'm getting concerned about having it as the heart of my machine. Ugh. Maybe I'll see of microcenter will price match.

I feel since you're making a light duty PC, your power supply seems a bit too much.

I think a smaller wattage like 400-460 would be cheaper and more necessary.

Amazon has a Cooler Master for $35 but if you're thinking of eventually turning it into a gaming PC for your son or something that requires more power then go ahead and get the 600w.

Do not use that SSD, it is small and slow. Get a 240GB or larger, something with better, write, speeds, there are plenty drives with 500MB+ read/write speeds.

That power supply is also massive overkill for your build, step down to something like the Cooler Master 460W, and save yourself a hundred that you can spend on the better SSD.

I can't really comment on the CPU/MB, I don't use AMD.
Consider DDR3-1600 as well, and don't forget to shop around, Amazon is almost always more expensive on RAM than everyone else, though I found good prices on some Kingston and Crucial before, it does take some looking though.
