/u/dataupload is replying to this statement from OP:

>Other than the keyboard the only other part that I am now reconsidering is the CPU cooler. [...] I would like to create some better airflow by purchasing a Corsair H80i. Again if you guys have any recommendations on a CPU cooler I would love to hear all of them.

The H80i is $90, so a $120 SSD wouldn't be that much more expensive, like /u/dataupload said.

Personally, I run the H100i on my 4690k, and it seems to be overkill. However, I do suggest this- used the amazon link since you mentioned Prime-

I dont think youll have much interest offering $10 less than a new one.

Are you willing to move down on the price for the Corsair cooler? It's on amazon for $79.99

  1. You can always add in more RAM later. You probably won't use more than 8GB though.
  2. I like DELL monitors but you can always look for another cheaper one. The DELL is an IPS so it looks pretty.
  3. The H80i is really there only if you're looking at overclocking. Otherwise, it's overkill for stock settings.
  4. The Windows 8.1 license really brings the price up. If you can find it anywhere for cheaper or you have your own license, that'll help you spending considerably.
  5. If you don't necessarily like the case, there are plenty of others out there. I'm not sure what type of case you like so I figured I'd go with the one you mentioned.

The very first post I made with the link is the only one I know for a fact is compatible with your build. (It's an Amazon link.)

As far as what Corsair unit would be be the best to use? I'd say the Corsair H80i. However, contact their customer service first to confirm compatibility. (Phone Number US 1 (888) 222-4346)

Edit:
If you do find out about that unit could you let me know if it's compatible. Just in case the question pops up again.

It looks like your case has the space up top that would accommodate an H100i (120mm x 240mm, but like mine, it would probably be cramped. An H80i should fit but its kind of thick. You'd have to look at pictures of one inside someone else's case and compare it to yours. Another alternative would be the H60 since its radiator is much thinner. Amazon has them all listed here: http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Series-Extreme-Performance-Liquid/dp/B009ZN03AA

Make do research before investing in any sort of computer part you're unfamiliar with. The CM 212 Evo is a great air cooler and if you're happy with your CPU temps now then you don't need to switch to water cooling.

Note: Many people who buy the H series by Corsair complain about fan noise, so you may want to invest in a new fan, such as this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835608026. It's kind of spendy, but it's super quiet and one of the best static pressure fans you can buy. I've got two with my H80i. All in all, an upgrade to water cooling could cost you $80+ if you go the Corsair route.

Another note about water cooling. Many people make a big deal about how the fans are configured in relation to the radiator. It's something I don't know a lot about myself, but worth doing the research. LinusTechTips has a lot of videos in regards to water cooling that can check out. Here's one about configuring your fans: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UyC3lZ5WFMk

One more thing: Make sure that the cooler is compatible with your mobo. You'll need to mount the pump to your mobo, just like you did with the CM 212 Evo. Having good thermal paste is also a good thing. This is what I have: http://www.amazon.com/Arctic-Silver-Thermal-Compound-Grams/dp/B000OGX5AM. It's a bit old, so there's probably better thermal paste out right now.

yeah, I was looking into H100i, but it seems like it would barely fit, I think I will just go with H80i (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-Series-Digital-Performance-All-In-One/dp/B009ZN03AA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1371850009&sr=8-1&keywords=corsair+h80i) and mount it at the back of the case as buying something that would barely fit is not something I'd be down for. One radiator should be well enough for just CPU, shame I can't fit a custom water cooling with see trough pipes :/

If you aren't overclocking, any aftermarket cooler will be super quiet because it will never have to ramp up the fans to high speed. Something around $30 such as the hyper 212 evo would be more than adequate.

If you really don't care about price and you just want the quietest out there, I would suggest the [phanteks ph14pe] (http://www.amazon.com/PHANTEKS-PH-TC14PE-Heat-Pipes-Premium-patented/dp/B005OREE38/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1396562050&sr=8-2&keywords=phanteks+ph-tc14pe) or the [noctua NH-D14] (http://www.amazon.com/Noctua-Heatpipe-Bearing-Cooler-NH-D14/dp/B002VKVZ1A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396562086&sr=8-1&keywords=noctua+nh-d14). These will be completely overkill, and they might not even have to turn on the fans while your CPU is idle. You could also go for a closed liquid cooling look such as the [corsair h80i] (http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Series-Extreme-Performance-Liquid/dp/B009ZN03AA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1396562192&sr=8-1&keywords=h80i). The software the h80i comes with will be great for reducing the fan speed (and therefore noise) when not much heat is being generated.

I am hoping to get an OC of 4.3-4.5, will the 212 be enough or would something like the Noctua NH-D14 or Corsair H80i be best?

Please save some more money and buy a WaterCooler(WaterBlock). It looks so much better is this case.
