Just wanted to add as a FYI - This is effectively the same speed as 3200 CL16 and 3000 CL15 which have been seen at lower prices. Higher bandwidth won't result in much real world differences if price is a major concern here.

See: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/5d009u/i_made_a_simple_table_to_help_you_pick_out_what/

EDIT: I recently got the corsair 3200 CL16, which is same effective latency as mentioned above for ~$12 less. See amazon link: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B072LX99L9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_yI3xDbB3Y3164

If you look at one of the Amazon reviews... someone just bought it a week or two ago and reported B-Die.

Also the link you provided isn't even the same RAM. That one is B3200, I was linking the Z3200. Corsair uses this code to denote Ryzen specific RAM.

7 year old 2600k just kaput. Need cpu+mobo+memory combo, looking at:

ryzen 2600 - 225

msi b450 tomahawk - 150

memory... lol at prices.

Any recommendations? Don't know if waiting 10 days for BF deals is worth the savings.

Can't speak to this ram kit but for overclocking/value the Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200CL16 kit is still really good if you can get B-Die. It's $110 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B072LX99L9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Currently using it with my 3700x on B450 Pro Carbon AC. With minimal effort I've got it at 3733CL16 @ 1.35v, getting very good AIDA scores: https://imgur.com/dbgo0Iu

These ones? https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B072LX99L9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I ordered these a few months ago and got v4.31 which is B die, you can use Thaiphoon burner to double check

u/RixMixed · 3 pointsr/bapcsalescanada

I have all the components needed to upgrade to AM4 except RAM.

Should I wait for this order That's 3 to 5 weeks away from shipping? - Ordered on sale for $109.99 https://www.amazon.ca/Corsair-CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16-Vengeance-Memory-PC4-25600/dp/B072LX99L9/

Or should I get this instead which will ship faster and costs $15 more (it also doesn't appear on my mobo's supported memory list) - https://www.amazon.ca/Patriot-Viper-3400MHz-Gunmetal-heatshield/dp/B07N47DP2D/

The first one supposedly has a chance to be a version with Samsung B-die.

u/FUSCN8A · 3 pointsr/bapcsalescanada

Update:

Just wanted to let you guys know I received Samsung B-Die on the first order (not exchanges necessary). Not sure if the request for 4.31 in the gift section helped. Either way, my first sub $100.00 B-Die :)

Thanks OP! Ordered another pair of Corsair Vengeance 3200Mhz (likely Samsung B-Die). Brought it under $100.00 before tax...

Is there really a difference between this Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 X 8GB) DDR4 3200 RAM "for AMD" VS this one?

u/ComradeVaughn · 2 pointsr/buildapcsales

I have the b-die, and this is not this model that has the chance of being b-die when you order it. This is only hynix. The "lottery" ram that can have b-die is the https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072LX99L9 which is still 120$+

u/maddkatz · 2 pointsr/buildapc

I haven't, I'll make sure enable it. As for the RAM I'm new the whole overclocking thing so I may have not gotten the best kind. Here's what I got.

How does this compare to these at $219? Pretty sure these are the b-die versions of the LPX, at least I hope they are... cause they’re more expensive then the other 3200 LPX ones on amazon. is there any way to tell once I’ve received them?

The B-die version of this Corsair kit would be better than E-die for 3600cl14?

Hi, currently in the process of building a new rig. I was checking out a deal from a few days ago about some B Die Ram (corsair ones).

Apparently these Corsair (CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16) are B Die.

https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B072LX99L9/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&psc=1

I was currently eyeing the same sticks but in white color. The SKU is almost the same (CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16W) but there is an extra W at the end.

Would the black ones be my only B die option here? Or the white are automatically b die too since it's only a color swap?

Thank you and sorry for the mobile format!

Alright so I'm currently split between the Corsair LPX that was posted earlier and the Ripjaws V. Problem is, neither is on my motherboards QVL B350-F QVL. Does it really matter either way? It looks like very similar ram to both of the ones I mentioned is on the QVL. Which should I go for? I'm leaning towards the Corsair currently

u/Kevin9809 · 1 pointr/Amd

I may go with the 3600X due to the availability issues of the 3600 if I order in the next day or two. The money I would be saving by buying the B450 mobo instead makes it come out to the same total price.

By the way, here is what I am looking at currently:

B450 mobo - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07F7W5KJS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Corsair DDR4 3200 2x8GB RAM - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B072LX99L9/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

Ryzen 5 3600K - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SQBFN2D/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

I can't find much information on this particular Corsair Vengeance LPX ram (CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16).

Is this ram compatible with the MSI B350 Tomahawk? It's not showing up on their compatibility list, but I've found one result on google of a user saying they've been able to use that combination. Just want to make sure they would work together.

u/Juan55533 · 1 pointr/techsupport

Hey, I think I might buy this ones and sell the old ones I had. What do you think?

u/Menboy321 · 1 pointr/buildapc

I recommend these if you’re building a ryzen system and these for intel

u/trevinshu97 · 1 pointr/bapcsalescanada

I see well do you think RAM and PSU prices will go down? I am looking at this kit of Corsair RAM and it's currently on sale and this EVGA PSU which is also on sale.

u/rusty__spoon · 1 pointr/buildapc

Thanks for that. Went through the list and changed RAM to:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B072LX99L9/ref=pe_3187911_185740111_TE_item

It’s compatible with the MSI B450 Carbon and is supposedly B-Die.

u/FlightFour · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

For Ryzen 3000 series builds, I'm a bit confused here. There is this product, and there is this product.

Are they different whatsoever? The Corsair "for AMD" does not have this price reduction.

Black / 3200. Corsair CMK16GX4M2Z3200C16... https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B072LX99L9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Wow, this is incredible! Thank you thank you thank you!!

Thank you SO much. Seriously. I'm so happy! You've made my day!

I just have questions, still, though, if you don't mind me asking.

---------

Just one thing, I may have jumped the gun a few times with Prime Days, and purchased a power supply, ssd, and cooler. They're as follows:

Power Supply: Corsair RM850x ($130)

I don't care about aesthetics so I don't mind that the power supply is white. I'd assume it's a better deal if I got the 850 W for the same price as the 750 W.

SSD: Crucial - MX500 2 TB ($183)

If I'm fine spending the extra $100 on an SSD, should I be using the 2TB SSD as my storage to replace the 2TB HDD but still stick with that Intel SSD as my main? Or should I replace the Intel with the 2TB SSD and leave the 2TB HDD as storage?

Cooler: Corsair - H115i PRO 280mm ($116)

I don't know enough about the specs of coolers to know if the extra $7 that I spent on this version as opposed to the one you recommended is worth it.

Should I be returning any of these and just stick with what you've provided?

-----------------
Memory: In terms of this, could I go with the Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 X 8GB) DDR4 3200 ($105) instead, and just hope I get the b-die version the first time? And if I don't, then request it in the Amazon exchange notice (by claiming "wrong version sent" or whatever)? Is there any real difference between this and the memory you suggested to me other than it being guaranteed b-die?

Also, is waiting for the 2080 Super (assuming it goes for around $950) worth it over saving $200 going with the 2070 Super? I don't mind spending $200 more if the 2070 Super won't be great for futureproofing and running hi-fi games like Cyberpunk 2077 on ultra.

-----

The pcpartspicker build also has these incompatibility warnings. I'm having trouble understanding them fully. They are:

  • Warning! Some AMD B450 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Zen 2 CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.

  • Note:The motherboard M.2 slot #1 shares bandwidth with SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports. When the M.2 slot is populated, two SATA 6.0 Gb/s ports are disabled.

  • Note:Some physical dimension restrictions cannot (yet) be automatically checked, such as cpu cooler / RAM clearance with modules using tall heat spreaders.

    Can these be safely ignored?

    -----

I know these are a lot of questions so if you can't get to any or all of them, just know that you've already helped me more a ton!

Again, I appreciate everything you've done. I've finally got the ball rolling and can build my pc! You sacrificing your free time to help is greatly appreciated!
